Johnny Damon is one of the greatest assets to our teams and it shows with such a great all star season he has been having. So far im hearing it still is possible johnny would like a 5 year contract, which by that time he will be 37. Red Sox would probably offer him a 3 year deal that includes club option for a fourth season. Regardless, im just curious what everybody thinks about that, I'm leaning towards the Mets. Be a good fill in for center field, cuz i got a feelin yanks might go for Mets' Cameron in the offseason. Plus may johnny be on another team that is a big rival to the pin-head stripes Note: listing these teams, because johnny had said if he does move to another team wants it to be a northeastern located team

He wouldn't go to the mets. The Mets already have a center fielder his name is Carlos Beltran. I can see him going to the nationals. He'd be a nice fit there i'd think.

hope the sox can agree with him for a 3 or 4 year contract. but, yea the mets or the nationals, that way only chance to see him would be a rare interleague series, or even the world series matchoff if it came to it. It would feel weird to be at fenway and root against johnny seein him in another team's colors. Besides with the Mets hed be reteamed with Doug and Pedro

Actually, I just say the Nationals because in the dugout they seem like a team the most similar to the Sox. They are a pretty loose bunch of guys, and Damon would fit in there.

Johnny damon is not going anywhere. I refuse to entertain that notion with months and months before we'll find out what's going to happen.

I'm losing sleep over this one. Johnny Damon is the reason I got into baseball. Johnny is the one who made me a fan of The Sox. If Johnny goes I don't know what I will do. I mean I love Manny and all, but my loyalties are with Johnny! I really hate this not knowing.

ILuvmannyRamirez, you won't have to worry too much. If Johnny wants to keep playing, he will play here most likely. He loves it here! Of course, should he leave, anywhere but the Yankees is fine, I would be a little hurt seeing that. Other than that, he will retire as a Red Sox in his final years That would be the best situation I guess for us, because if we re-sign him and he does s***** in his older years, it's gunna blow up in our face.
