  1. Great win for the Yanks. Let's hope they could get through colon tomorrow and advance to the ALCS. To the Yankee fans talking about not being afraid of colon, then you must be stoned because like someone on this board said he was one swing away from having a 7 IP, 1 ER game in game 1. He does have a bad back so hopefully that will benefit us.
  2. I think Small is going to the pen. I think the yanks are going to go with a 4 man rotation in the playoffs. Small will be the backup for moose if moose can only go 5-6 innings.
  3. Even as a Yankee fan, I have to admit that Matsui was out of the baseline and should've been called out.
  4. I agree, Riverside sluggers. The walks killed wang last night. What also killed us was Giambi throwing the ball home instead of just tagging the base. I mean given it was the right play for ANYONE else, but he just doesn't have the accuracy and or the range. Without that walk to Nixon and that horrible throw by giambi we would've been tied 3-3 in the 9th.
  5. Sigh. It was a bad game. Posada did s*** with bases loaded, and with runners on 2nd and 3rd. Sierra is just terrible...... We need tomorrow's game. If we lose tomorrow, i'm going to be extremely scared going into sunday's game a game down and with moose on the mound not knowing what we're going to get with him.
  6. Bullpen goes to the sox? Both are terrible but the Yanks have the ultimate weapon. Mo. I know you guys are going to say he's blown alot of games vs sox but the real MO is back and I think we'll see it this weekend. But, it's going to be a great weekend for baseball. I wish I was up in Boston to watch these games live but I guess sitting here in NY is still good. Anyway, let the best team win.
  7. Alright, everyone, both redsox and yankee fans. We've had a good year of baseball, we've all had our arguements, our differences, and so forth on these boards. But I gotta tell you it's been a very fun and interesting posting on here with all of you guys and hearing everyone's views on certain subjects between the yanks and sox. So, Soxfans, no hard feelings.. This is going to come down to the wire and I just thought i'd say it's been fun posting with you guys this year. May the best team win.
  8. Dude, i'm here everyday I just never post. I only post when I find it neccessary.
  9. I seriously don'tknow how making fun of the jets is supposed to hurt us.. I'm laughing at that lose too, I hate the Jets. Seriously why must most of you redsox fans continue to bash everything a NY team does bad. I've not seen Sox Fan in Tex say that the Yankees nor any other NY team has done anything good. Then, to go and say the Redsox are somewhat more superior than the Yankees? How so? If they were so much more 'superior' then us, shouldn't they be atleast 8 games ahead of us? So seriously does just bashing the Yankees and all NY teams really make your life that much better? Does it make you feel good? Because it really is pathetic that all you do is bash a team and never give them credit when they do have good games.
  10. Wow, CajunSox, that really is scary. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, your family, and everyone else surviving this disaster.
  11. He wouldn't go to the mets. The Mets already have a center fielder his name is Carlos Beltran. I can see him going to the nationals. He'd be a nice fit there i'd think.
  12. We can't say what's going to happen. Although, I do hope the Yankees do pull it off and make the playoffs. All I can say right now is that it's going to be a very exciting summer for both of these teams and their fans.
  13. BTW-- YOu say the Yankees have an old team? But, if the numbers i'm looking at are right, the Sox are old too. Your youngest guy is Kevin Youkilis at 26. Our youngest guy is Robbie Cano at 22 Lets break it down position by position Catcher Tek is 33, Posada is 33 Backup Catcher Mirabelli 34(soon to be 35), Flaherty 37(almost 38) -- This one i'll give u but slightly 3b - Mueller 34, Arod 29(soon to be 30) SS- Edgar 29(soon to be 30), Jeter 31 today 2b- Belhorn 30(soon to be 31), Cano 22(Soon to be 23) 1b - Millar 33(soon to be 34), Giambi 34 LF- Manny 33, Matsui 31 - CF Damon 31(32 soon), Bernie 37 RF Trot 31, Sheff 36 - Not trying to diss but better than Trot even at his age. Starters Schilling 39, Mussina 36 Clement 30(31 soon), Pavano 29 Wells 42, Johnson 41(42 soon) Miller 28(almost 29) Wang 25 Arroyo 28, Wright 26 I believe. Wish he would come back soon btw Wakefield 39, Brown 40 Pen Foulke 32 almost 33, Mo 35 Timlin 39, Groom 38 almost 39 Embree 35, Sturtze 34 Mantei(Same bday as me btw)31, almost 32, Proctor 28 Myers 36 today(Happy bday), Quantril 36 Halama 33, Gordon 36 Since sox have no more pitchers, Stanton 38 Big papi - 29 almost 30 Youkilis 26 Olerud 36 almost 37 Vasquez 28 almost 29 Tino 37 Russ Johnson 32 (Will be sent down soon for Andy phillips who is 24 I believe.) Womack 35 almost 36 So if you look at this, you could clearly see there's not that big of a difference between age on these two teams. They're pretty much mixed with both old and young. Sox have chemistry right now, Yanks don't. That's pretty much why you guys are in first and we're not. There's things that are going to have to be done in the Yankees organization for them to get back to where they want to be.
  14. I have to agree with you on the team chemistry, Tex. I heard on roadgames the whole team goes their seperate ways for dinner or anything else after night. Jeter has to step up and invite the whole 25 man roster out to dinner, maybe do something else fun. While at dinner, ask them what they believe is wrong with this team and ways to fix it. Also getting a decent CF, and a starter wouldn't hurt... Still alot more games to play though.
