AP is reporting that Quantrill and Stanton have been released. Wayne Franklin and Bubba Crosby will take their places on the roster. Ladies and gentleman (with Yankee fans, I use that term loosely), your savoir has arrived and his name is Bubba.

200 million worth of payroll and Robinson Canoe, Bubba Crosby, and Wayne Franklin are on the 25 man. Yep George is a brilliant owner, jsut a random fat man with a whole lot of money, notice the team was only good when he was banned from baseball.

Apparently the Texas Rangers offered Soriano to the Yanks for Cano and WANG (lol I still giggle everytime I say that name)....and Brian Cashman in as many words said "no"

thank god because Robinson Cano's potential is really not that high and Wang's name is Wang and I love the Yankees having a Wang on there team

....Wang

Every single Yankee rumor is going to include Wang, Cano, or Duncan in some way. Frankly, if they want to acquire some MLB talent, those are the guys everybody wants.

Apparently the A's asked for all three for Kotsay and were told "no" as well.

First off to any mental migets who keep calling Sheffield a cheater, read this article. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/magazine/10/04/sheffield_bonds1011/

Second, Gary Sheffield is the perfect guy for the Yankees to have, especially at this point in time. He plays with fire all the time and just wants to win. We don't have enough players like that. He WANTS to be here and he's a star, not like these guys who come over and fall apart in NY.

It makes absolutely no sense to move him, especially for a scrub like Cameron whose batting average is falling faster than Rivera's ERA.

I've said it a few places, if the Yankees trade Sheffield and don't get a steal in the trade, I don't watch another game all season.

sheffield probably threw a temper tantrum in the clubhouse

Can we get OWNED written across that? I love seeing Sheffield being hot headed and restrained by his own team and the umpire not standing down. Sheffield...f*** off.

I would love to see the Yanks be stuck with Sheffroids...that CHEATER...oh yeah, I went there. If they wanna trade him then it means they're not happy. I hope they can't get a deal and every team just gives them a huge f*** YOU.

First of all, that article has Sheffield admitting that he used steroids. Steroids are a banned substance in MLB. Therefore, Sheffield broke the drug policy for MLB. That he says he didn't know makes no difference. Besides, the man's body is his business. Even if he's telling the truth, to just follow some trainer's advice (who hasn't gone to med school) scrutininizing it is bad business. If Sheffield really wants to clear his name why not sue Balco for malpractice; then in the court of law he could prove that he was misguided. I mean at least Giambi came out and apologized.
