Since I am percieved as negative, I wanted to point out that there is a lot of room for improvement from foulke in spite of the fact that "May has been quite good to Foulke".

He happens to have the highest ERA of any closer inteh American league as well as the highest Batting average against.

So in the spirit of being positive I say there is room for improvement, that sounds more positive I think...than what I am thinking.

Wow, he's what? Like 8 for 10 in save opportunities?

I guess there's nothing left to complain about right now with the team so lets call for Foulke's head because he's off to a rocky start.

Anyone notice that we are 1 game better than we were at this point last year? Only ONE GAME. Let's fire Francona while we are at it!!!!!!!!!

We need to fire someone! Things are getting boring around here. Fire the bullpen catcher just for the hell of it. Maybe he'll make a fuss on the way out.

He'll get better. It's Foulke. If his past serves as anything it's to tell us that he's an amazing closer. He's just having issues now. I'm really not worried about him too much.

Why do you chang e your avator everyday?

Well foulke will get better I guarentee it.

I know he's struggled recently, but I still think he is one of the premiere closers in the game today. He was one of the major reasons we won it all last year, and will be a main reason we contend for it this year.

Mantei was a closer, how 'bout him if Foulke falters?

I haven't seen Mantei enough to decide but with how Keith is pitching right now, I'd rather have BK Kim in the bullpen.

Only if when you say "if Foulke falters?" you mean falters through August.

He's safe for a while and he'll be fine. He just needs to find location.

I am always impressed at how forgiving and patient you guys are...I am trying this season to be like that, I have admitted alan "embree isnt as bad I wanted to believe, and I am biting my lip not to turn on foulke, but if I did, I would mention how bad he has looked at times, his ERA sucks, he has given up more home runs than nearly any closer in the MAJOR LEAGUES..he has one of the highest batting averages against of any closer in the ML..I mean what is going to take, the guy almost foulked up millers brilliant perfomance last night, you cant hit a ball any further at fenway without it being a home run than that rocket off him last night. inches form blowing the game and another close call.

Could it be that location he is looking for is more like re-location.

true, but if I were being negative I would say that that makes it even more disturbing in terms of the long haul ---the fact that he has some important numbers that are among the worst of the worst.

I almost passed out duiring the ninth inning last night....a three run lead, into the ninth..our closer coming in..should be an automatic..not automatically a nightmare.

I cant bring myself to read his comments..i thought last time he was going through a bad patch it was from not being out there enough.what is it now..let me guess too much work?

But I am not negative..he'll work through it, he needs time, it's location (could it be that he cant seem throw it over 85 mph anywhere else but right over the plate) , oops...I mean let's be patient with him.

I'm not as worried, the thing with him is that he is so un-orthodox that his mechanics can not be fixed by anyone else. All he needs to do is tinker with it and he'll be bac to his old self. if your trying not to tur on him, remember the moment where he filps the ball to Minkiewitcz and pumps his fist, i find it always
