Lol…… fair enough…. Just sayin we got better assuming AR15 comes back healthy. AR15 is what we need NOW…. 2027 season offseason starts there will be pitching available (Bieber, Gray, Barnes, Ray, Woodruff etc etc etc) …. Very very little in terms of middle of order bat. . I wanted a superstar SS. But we may get that with Arias. So who knows. LFG Sox!

Holy sh** bro….. You guys would have whined about trading Mayer and Campbell 12 months ago. Now they are both throw ins with very little value…. An All star catcher, switch hitter, good defense not just for this year but next year as well. go touch grass or go for a walk or something this deal makes a ton of sense. Prospects haven’t done sh** yet.

The other thing worth noting is Red Sox MLB pitching rotation for 26 and 27….. I honestly don’t think either Eyanson or Witherspoon would have broken in to the Red Sox rotation. 1. Crochet 2. Suarez 3. Tolle 4. Bennett 5. Houck/ Crawford/ Oviedo/ Bello plus you can go out and add a Gray/Bieber type on a 1 year as well. it makes a lot of sense to me.

Honestly don’t get this reaction at all…….. we have a chance for a World Series…. Both Eyanson and Witherspoon have injury concerns. Red Sox identify and develop pitchers really really well. Plus quality MLB pitchers are exponentially more available than good bats…… in free agency and trade deadlines. I’d rather go to World Series in 2026 than have a conversation about 2028 World Series for next 2 years.

Dude he is a legit catcher….. for prospects and an automatic out at Catcher… plus his agent is Dan Vertlieb which tells me, he comes to Boston we have a magical Aug/sept. He will be jonesing to resign with Red Sox

2 arms…. But We have to admit that we can develop young pitching. And Eyanson most likely wasn’t going to help MLB team til late 2027. We can replenish the farm arms in next 18 months…. LFG

I mean it’s a big price but Eyanson is legit. He is only top 100 prospect. Other guys are a couple years away
