    There is something to be said about using your profits to grow the company. I wish they would all take that pledge to give away 85% (?) of their wealth when they pass away. But if you donate $1B of your $2B, then your company only grows at half the pace. If I gave you a choice of investing in a cure for cancer, or donating to feed the poor, what is the correct answer? Or is there even a correct answer?

    I think Billie says things she thinks the crowd wants to hear. It's why she's been accused of gay-baiting.

    To me, it's like suggesting that we trade for Skenes or Ohtani. A brief mention is fun, but there is an ongoing conversation about something really unlikely. It's a bit like discussing possible trades of Crochet.

    But I can hate JH for reasons that Billey Eilish so elegantly put (which I do) and I can hate him for buying the pittsburgh f'ing penguins (which i do x2) I know who she is, but only because of some of her rather unusual interviews. And I am not a hockey fan. So that stuff doesn't bother me.

    Two boppers is fine, so long as we get at least a #2 SP.

    It would be for only one year. I think he's maxed out at the minor league level, but still has more development to come. One year in the BP/#6, followed by 5 years as an SP.

    Way too much time wasted in this thread on trades that will almost never happen. But I'd much rather acquire another #1 type pitcher than an extra bopper.

    Competing with any team in the 1-4 slot is weak tea if you cannot compete anywhere else.

    At some point, I'd like to see projected rosters, expected trades and payroll. There seems to be a whole lot of "let's sign Alonso, Bichette, Bregman and Cease' out there (no one in particular).

    Dude, did you make that up? Because I hadn't heard that before. I'm going to start using it, simply because no one will know what I am talking about, so they will simply nod in agreement.

    C'mon, these are not JH type of decisions. On the higher end, maybe you clear Bregman or Devers. But I seriously doubt JH has any opinion whatsoever on guys like Buehler.

    The Rox, Nats and Angels would take him in a heartbeat. When you are guaranteed to finish last, and have no BP, you bet on the 100 velo guys 100% of the time.

    Pure guess here is that Tolle starts the year in the BP. I like BB as well, but this might be a structure type move.

    I don't remember, but KC would've made more sense in April 24 than he would in April 25. He has not yet shown that he can play a position or hit the ball. He absolutely crushed AA and AAA in 2024. If I see 6-8 weeks of that in 2026, I'd consider bringing him back. But he should be traded.

    Duran is much better in CF than in LF. It's like trying to compare a SS to a 3B. There are different athletic skillsets that work better at each position. Ceddanne is very unlikely to move. He is arguably the best CF I've even seen, and I go back to Paul Blair.

    So far as I know, you have to carry no more than 13 of each.

    I think Campbell has -0- chance of being on the 26 to start the season. I'd be real happy if he started to hit AAA pitching again. He had a 19/6 K/W with 1 HR in September. JG would be a huge gamble to start the season in LF. He had a 193 K/600 rate in AAA.

    Too much. Duran's 3 * 4.7 = 14.1. Skubal is 1 * 6.5 is fair. If Skubal agreed to extend, we'd be back to the Pedro/Schilling days, and I'd throw in extra.

    Wink or Moran? (Trade?) Lowe (non tender?) Looks like Wink and Lowe are both gone. Wink should be claimed by someone like the Nats, the Angels, or WS. No one will claim Lowe.

    I'd like to see him make the RS after his commitment held him back and after DD screwed him over by claiming him. But I wouldn't add him to the 40. I seriously doubt anyone would put in a claim.

    I would add Tolle to the BP to break in. And I don't think Kelly is good enough to be our #2.

    That's what Whitlock is for. Every closer has some risk. If they go down, you go to #2.
