    The chance that Duran is a full time DH next year, as in plays OF less than 20% of his games played is a far lower likelihood than Cedanne playing a lot of infield next year. Not advocating for the latter, but teams arent pigeonholing on D anymore. Good defenders are getting moved around.

    Should vs shouldnt, my point is that the in order of likelihood 1. Someone is traded 2. There is a positional rotation where mutliple guys play DH sometimes, and outfielders move to infield sometimes Rafaela will play inf again in his life. Just like Betts. Not saying that I would pencil him to inf right now, just saying that nobody is going to not use his versatility. What happens if we trade Duran and then Campbell is hitting .400 in AAA in May and we are getting nothing from 2b? Most likely, Cedanne goes to infield, Campbell takes over in OF. Its not plan A, but it will happen at some point (maybe not next year). Guys move around.

    Still wont DH. They'll trade an OF'er or play Cedanne infield. They may do both and let one of Masa/Campbell play LF.

    Yes, im one of the ones who think price had trade value after we ate half the contract. It didnt come to fruition cuz he got paid and sat out covid year, but didnt know that at the time And verdugo always stunk, ill die on that hill.

    Agree. Trade wise, Skubal should have less value than crochet and therefore easier to obtain (only 1 yr from UFA as opposed to Crochet who was 2), but flip side - hed be harder to resign because hes a UFA so soon.

    Not Garcia (wanna keep the brothers), but Im interested in Cade and he would prob close starting in 2027. Generally, you want a "core-four" with one being a lefty. So he'd bump Slaten out of the "core-four" because it would be Chap, Whit, Cade, and a lefty. Which Im fine with. Understood have more pressing holes, but I think it improves , adds depth, and sets us up well beyond next year.

    Early Tolle are non starters to me, as in Im not including them , not saying i see them as relievers (lol). Dont think it makes sense to move Crawford / Fitts. Just no value there, and they are useful depth. Harrison is the one I would look to move. Dont hate moving Dobbins either or Perales / Clarke. Not sure the value gap between em, but if Harrison is third on the list in terms of trade value units, hes the one I think I would move.

    I took the over, 246m is well placed over/under hugh. Had to think on it. I assume we'll extend whomever we trade for. Im not sure Im going to love the FA names, but I think the difference will be (like the pattern) a willingness to overpay from an AAV standpoint due to an outright refusal to give term. So it will be a con. "WHy you say they cheap, they got this guy and that guy " Yeah, a 1 yr deal and a 2 yr deal You know what they say about 1 and 2 yr deals , right? You get the guys that are willing to accept them.

    I would argue that the team that folds has a greater chance of making the playoffs, due to the weirdness of deadline sellers going on a run post-selloff in that division last few years.

    tunnelling means stays in the fastball tunnell longer. Which means the slider has "carry". Its not dropping, its not breaking, its not sweeping. It looks like a fastball all the way , and then you have to make your decision, and then poof , it runs away from you (righty/righty or lefty/lefty), strike 3.
