  1. If it was a refusal sure, but the way he described it, he tried to move anyone and everyone even some names that would have us gasping (according to him, not me)....and he just couldnt get any traction. He said that nobody wanted any of our players and he tried to move so many of them. Which doesnt make sense because there were teams that made so many moves so you would imagine that if other teams had the ammo to get deal #7 done, we really didnt have the ammo to do much at all? But regardless, I am happy with the state we are in and that we still have Tolle and Early. But it wasnt Breslow refusing to move certain dudes (again his words) he just said nobody wanted a thing we had....ANd I think its more so that nobody wants to be on the phone with him. I know I dont.
  2. Yeah, but hes right in this case. Breslow offered up a bunch of nonsense regarding his second consecutive deadline failure. He did not say that he thought he did well or accomplished his goals. He admitted failure, and then for reasons read off a laundry list of lies/nonsense. But it may have been a blessing in disguise with all these young pitchers getting chances and adding intrigue.
  3. Ah yes, the ole forgotten 1.5 testament
  4. CAREFUL SAYING THEIR NAMES!!!! You know what happens when you say connor seabold or brad peacock or joe hendry.
  5. first is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the treasure chest
  6. The red sox starting pitching is quickly becoming like the hitters, all lefties
  7. everybody needs interpersonal skills, they are hugely important. And if someone doesnt have them, their existence will include a lot of flamed out relationships, depression and loneliness. Yes, this will ultimately effect ones job performance.
  8. "He has better interpersonal skills than you may think" is a much better defense than he doesnt need those skills -A superior baseball life mind
  9. 90% of how far you will go in life is your ability to communicate
  10. you wont be able to build a good team if you cant communicate well and you lack interpersonal skills.
  11. Your interpersonal skills are your most important skills, my most important skills, and yes even a GM'CBOs most important skill Maybe not as a player, but right now - hes a suit, and there isnt a suit job in the world where being able to communicate and lead are not super important.
  12. N. Lowe - better than josh (his brother) and brandon (no relation) since hes been here (on a WAR/Game basis) wong youre invited to my wedding (quote from an avengers movie when he saves ironmans bacon) Look at eaton eaten I hope this story never ends sogard so-fart pick it up breggie (you still hurt?)
  13. peyote makes these jokes better
  14. peyote regrew my hair (until it war off)
  15. as in he played cf a lot during his best months at the plate, so thats going to skew.
  16. point taken but the offense muddies things up, right?
  17. Ill concede that maybe peyote is the only thing that can help one see the benefit of cedanne at infield, but sir, seeing the the benefit of cedanne at infield isnt the only thing that peyote can help
  18. positions are a construct. you gotta open your third eye, dr strange
  19. thats not the same thing as featuring a cute kid during a post-game
  20. I reject that elite defenders cant move around. Ive been screaming about it for years. Bill B made a career out of seeing lineman out of linebackers. The MVP of Zobrists seasons was a manager who wasnt afraid to think outside the box. If Varsho can go from catcher to top 5 defensive CF , I mean.... maybe not every guy can, but the only thing stopping more zobrists is inside the box, old man , thinking. It wasnt THAT special.
  21. He should have refused to change positions hahahah
  22. I love me some defensive versatility. More than most. But it seems like when those guys move around ,their war gets juiced. Zobrist was really good, but his WAR tells me had had HOF years, feels a bit exaggerated. Cedanne, Im sorry, hard to believe hes been as good as his WAR considering the games he spent at 2b. There is value in guys you can move around the diamond for sure. I wonder what Brockstar's was. Note: if it was 8+ in any year, I take it all back. Cuz who doesnt love Brock. And his cute kid with the coke bottle glasses that he carried around during 2018 WS celebrations. Brock bragging about how his 3 yr old crushes it with the playschool bat was nothing short of warm and fuzzy. I dont get why people dont like when the kids get involved. Like Steph Currys daughter. I have no beef w that. David Prices kid was cute too, which is surprising if you look at David (not if you look at his wife Tiffany, which also stuck out to me during 2018 celebrations). Ive strayed pretty far from the original point i was trying to make
  23. Was ben zobrist really as good as his WAR?
