    With tolle there is a story here. He had four strike outs after two innings! His fastball was playing well! Funky delivery that hitters have a hard time picking up. Starting in the third inning, he was throwing more secondary stuff and he struggled a bit and had some trouble with the strike zone. the plan seems to be to get tolle to sharpen up the secondary offerings. And maybe he adds a cutter somewhere down the line

    Worcester - Garcia with a tater tonight! Van belle with 7 shut out innings. Portland game 1 - Sandlin with 7 shut out innings. Portland game 2 - Jordan 3 for 4. Coffey with 3 shutout innings! Greenville - arias 4 for 5. Tayler with a tater today. Salem - Gonzales 0 for 2 with two walks.

    I think this is 100 percent correct!! It all starts with starting pitching. crochet is a stud and a legitimate number 1. after that, we got a bunch of maybe. Maybe bello learns how to pitch 5 innings!!! Or maybe bello should be a closer!!! Maybe the two rookies continue to pitch like veterans until they hit the innings wall!!!! Maybe beaulher and/or kutter get fully healthy??? Maybe giolita and houck are not a dumpster fires!!!!! it is time to call Pittsburgh and let’s see if we can play let’s make a deal!!! Offense for pitching !!!!!

    Arias has had a great year so far, but he is not in double A yet, so it is a bit early for that big a leap!!! Now Garcia went up a few levels last year, but with a high strike out rate and low walk rate, he did generate much interest. This year, he is improving those rates. we got more hitters coming. I think Anderson is close to figuring it out. I think Gonzales could be a superstar. I think encanacion is just starting to figure it out!!!!

    Keith law has arias at 8 and Garcia at 46! and of course, Anthony stays at number 1!

    I agree 100 percent that Jordan should be in Worcester. Quality depth is really important and necessary in today’s game! However, depth for the sake of depth creates clogs arteries for prospects!!! Time for bres-slow to start working the phones!!! Pittsburgh should be number 1 on his speed dial!!!!!

    The lineup in Greenville is overflowing with potential: 1.) arias - rafeala jr. but can be a superstar, 2.) yophary - still figuring it out. But oodles of potential 3.) Taylor - having a decent year. Some power but could develop into something special 4.) Anderson - had a bad year last year. But this year he has figured it out and is putting together good at bats. Star potential!! 5.) zantanello - the light has not come on yet for him. 6.) blies - super athletic but the contact rate is not there yet!!!! But if he can start hitting, star potential

    Offensively, I see our problem being getting runners in scoring position home! We got three guys producing and six guys wasting our time! And 1 of the three producers is hurt now!! maybe Cora needs to shake up the lineup some and put Devers in the four hole! bring up Anthony and slot him in the second spot! Slide Mayer into the third spot!! Move rafeala to short and sit story for a bit so he can figure himself out!!!! narveaz can hit fifth!!!

    When you look at our hitting, the problems are 1st base, 2nd base, short stop and center field. And now 3rd base has to cover for Bregman for a while. The easiest solution to centerfield is to bring up Anthony and put him in left. Move Duran to center and keep abreau in right. 4th outfielder is refsynder. the infield is a mess! - Mayer should be at 3B while Bregman is out. - story, Campbell, rafeala, toro and Hamilton have to handle the other three infield positions. - narveaz and Wong at catcher. when Gonzalez comes back, we send down toro! the problem is short stop, 2B and 1st base are still dumpster fires!!!!!

    Tolle went 4.1 innings and gave up 1 run. But struck out 9. now has 40 strike outs in 23.2 innings.

    Encarnacion with 3 hits today in a Salem win. arias with 4 hits and Anderson with 3 hits in a Greenville win. Jordan with 2 hits in a Portland win. Worcester rained out!
