Tendler with his 9th tater of the season today.

According to ESPN, the Yankees think the Mets are asking for too much for de grom and now looking at Happ. Could be a really good move if they pull it off,

Why did we trade for Pearce? Is he an empty uniform or will he actually contribute?
  4. Larry Cook
Rodriguez with adjustments. Was he tipping pitches in his previous two starts? Hard to tell, but his changeup is a plus pitch and gets him outs.

I am starting to think Shawaryn might be able to actually contribute to the Red Sox, maybe as early as next year. Really hope desperate dave does not trade him for yet another sore armed reliever!

Nothing wrong with having passion and emotion in this game. I just wish he was more mature about he expressed it!

Our guys can mash right handed pitching! This is a fun team except when lefties pitch!

Do we know how serious moreland’s injury is?

Clearly if leftbto his own devises and given enough time, price will let the situation fester in his head and negatively affect his performance. Hence the history of folding like a cheap suit. In my mind, the bullpen is perfect for him in the playoffs. From the time the phone rings until he goes into a game, he does not have sufficient time to work himself into a panic, therefore he just goes in the game and pitches to the best of his abilities without all the drama between his ears.

I applaud his courage for working so hard to get back. But if we are being honest, if he is going to have any success, he will need to bring his game up a ton from what he showed in his rehab outings.

Dalbec, Lin and benge all with taters today.
  12. Larry Cook
Pomeranz looked rusty today. Do we keep Johnson in the rotation for another start?
  13. Larry Cook
Betts guessed right on that pitch and killed it. He is the man!

The new delivery from what I have seen, still has kinks and in my mind, he still profiles as a future closer. Not sure what we have here!

Are we stockpiling international money to include in a trade for a reliever since desperate dave has traded away most of our prospects?

Ohlman with two taters today, now up to 10 on the season. Tender with a tater as well. Now up to 8 on the season.

De grom is one of the best pitchers in baseball, the Mets need bats. Good bats. Now that we have Pearce, we need to make a run at de grom. And yes, it will take quality to get quality. Benintendi and bogey for de grom?
  18. Larry Cook
Amen brother! Put up or shut up time. Fortunately we have Pearce in house to help.
  19. Larry Cook
Campana with 2 taters today. Now up to 13.
  20. Larry Cook
I watched him pitch live and his pitches drift to the middle of the plate and they get killed, not a lot of command or control.
  21. Larry Cook
Or maybe he is included as part of a trade package at the deadline.
  22. Larry Cook
The Mets need some bats really bad, specially shortstop and an outfielder or first baseman. If they were willing to part with de grom, I think we could put a package together to get this deal done, A rotation of sale, de grom, price, porcello and Rodriguez would be monster. Is de grom and a reliever worth bogey and benintendi?
  23. Larry Cook
Price is really throwing th ball well, love the movement and location.
  24. Larry Cook
Cottam with his first professional tater today. Congrats young man. And oh by the way.... Casas got injured today and had to leave the game. I think it was his thumb. Groome please slide down and give Casas some room on the trainer’s table. Just been that kind of year!
  25. Larry Cook
It would be nice to have a right handed hitting outfielder that mashes lefties, but not if it means Bradley is not on the team.
