  1. I am very hopeful that LHp Rolison of ole miss falls to us in the first round. If all goes well, we follow it up with rhp pilkington of miss state in the second round.
  2. Castillo, witte, mars, and dalbec all with taters tonight. Dalbec’s was his 11th. Mars was his first.
  3. Ockimey with another tater tonight. Schreff threw a really good game tonight as well.
  4. Sale is just not right at the moment. He really needs to make better pitches. We desperately need him to be the ace.
  5. Pedroia our with left knee pain makes me think he came back too soon. Why do we fall for this year after year,
  6. The offense tonight was Missing Betts and Pedroia. I really hope Betts is not more seriously injured than we know. Sometimes our team medical staff, who got their degrees mail ordered from Mexico City, tends to miss diagnose our players.
  7. Beeks threw a very nice game tonight. Dalbec with his 10th tater tonight as well.
  8. Rodriguez is starting to put it all together. Fastball has location and movement and the secondary stuff is getting sharper,
  9. Not to throw water on your fiery passion for the team, but you do realize Pomeranz is going for us in the first game? Then sale has to deal with Cole and sale’s last game out was a bit of a turd.
  10. Shawaryn threw a nice game tonight. He really seems to have new hampshire’s Number.
  11. I know benintendi is swinging a nice bat lately, but I like seeing bogey in the two hole. Maybe when Betts gets back, hopefully very soon, we can experiment with benintendi in the five hole (protecting JD) and Keep bogey in the 2 hole.
  12. Yes, a 19 inning game would be most welcome. We need tons of innings put on those staffs!
  13. This is a strong move by desperate dave. Maybe someone is not healthy? Or maybe desperate dave is anticipating. including Travis in trade in the near future? But the fact that desperate dave is building depth and stock piling chips, is a sign to me that he finally realizes you need more than 25 players over the course of a season.
  14. I have been extremely impressed by our starting pitching thus far this year, with the exception of Pomeranz. Pomeranz’s velocity and movement have decreased this year and he could is getting hit hard.
  15. Nice win tonight. Leon had a tremendous game. So glad to see him making contact.
  16. Outfielder Trevor larnach of Oregon state is a guy that desperate Dave might consider in the first round. Hits well to the opposite field, draws walks and projects to have decent power.
  17. Lin, Castillo and ockimey with taters tonight.
  18. Our core is basically home grown. Betts, benintendi, bogey, Barnes, bradley, devers, Vazquez, and other contributors. I felt Ben was intent on building incredible depth in the minors to continue adding more home grown players. Yet impatience waiting for guys to develop and our inability to develop home grown starters derailed everything Ben was trying to do. In many ways, ben’s greatest flaw in my opinion was thinking we could wait four years for his master plan to develop. Yes desperate Dave came in and shortened the timeline and made us competitive immediately, and yes, he has had some bad luck with injuries. So the question is, has he done enough?
  19. Travis with another tater today. He struggled to get the timing down when he returned from the dl. But he seems to be getting back to hitting.
  20. I still think Larry was behind the sandavol and Hanley signings. Hopefully at some point down the road, we find out which guy was the driver behind those signings,
  21. Benintendi is really swinging the bat nicely. He slid staying back on th ball and making decent contact. Really hoping Betts comes back soon and is 100 percent healthy.
  22. Jeremy eierman of mizzu state is a guy I think projects as a second baseman with some power, I think he projects to be at the major leagues in 3 years and that is just prior to pedroia’s contract expiring,
  23. Grayson Rodriguez had the potential to be a major league starter. At 6’4” plus he meets the Sox height requirement. Fastball sits 92 or so. It’s a heavy ball that is tough to muscle up. He throws a decent slider and I know the Sox don’t usually let their starters throw sliders. Th curveball is a work in progress.
  24. Mata went 5 innings and gave up 2 runs, but walked 4.
  25. Sale just did not have any movement today. Hopefully it is just a one off!
