I can not get on board with use my a first round pick on a guy that needs to be retooled. That makes no sense to me.

Logan allen has looked pretty darn good to me and is now in the top 100 minor leaguers. Espinosa is coming back from surgery and has explosive, electric stuff, but struggled with command. I am using how edpinosa comes back as a template for groome’s return in 2020.

Looks like Johnson is trying to wrestle the fifth starter job from all contenders and be the guy for the rest of the year. It would be great if he could do it.

Does Pomeranz have any value at this point? How much is San Fran paying sandavol, don’t we get a credit against our cap for that amount?

Why did we trade for Pearce? Is he an empty uniform or will he actually contribute?

Rodriguez with adjustments. Was he tipping pitches in his previous two starts? Hard to tell, but his changeup is a plus pitch and gets him outs.

I am starting to think Shawaryn might be able to actually contribute to the Red Sox, maybe as early as next year. Really hope desperate dave does not trade him for yet another sore armed reliever!

Clearly if leftbto his own devises and given enough time, price will let the situation fester in his head and negatively affect his performance. Hence the history of folding like a cheap suit. In my mind, the bullpen is perfect for him in the playoffs. From the time the phone rings until he goes into a game, he does not have sufficient time to work himself into a panic, therefore he just goes in the game and pitches to the best of his abilities without all the drama between his ears.

I applaud his courage for working so hard to get back. But if we are being honest, if he is going to have any success, he will need to bring his game up a ton from what he showed in his rehab outings.

De grom is one of the best pitchers in baseball, the Mets need bats. Good bats. Now that we have Pearce, we need to make a run at de grom. And yes, it will take quality to get quality. Benintendi and bogey for de grom?
