So we start the year with pedrioa and Wright in the 60 day dl?

I am totally missing why anyone would give Harper a 200-300 million dollar contract. Let the Yankees sign him and let them regret it down the road.

We still need a couple relievers and another starter. John Henry needs to reach a little deeper into his pocket. Thankfully the exodus of talented youngsters via trades, that depleted our minor league system, yielded such stellar arms as smith and thornburg!! Where would we be without those two workhorses????

Clean out surgery done this early means he has time to revover by spring training. He should be ready to go by mid February, but should be put on the roster using pencil only.

If Quiroz had hit better in the afl, then I would think he could be a wild card for second base, but he really looked overmatched and puny. I would like to see chavis start the year at Pawtucket as a second baseman. Hernandez has been gone so long, that he needs a year at Pawtucket to get back into things. If kinsler goes unsigned this offseason, we should make him a no roster invitee. There is no way Pedroia does not break down by March 30th. Kinsler could be plan b.

The yankee trade was extremely interesting. They got an exceptional lefty with great stuff for their top prospect and two fill in pieces. If Paxton stays healthy, he makes the Yankees better. If Sheffield hits his ceiling, he makes this trade look bad for New York. I would like to see us counter by trading for the reds closer!

Let’s not make Johnson something he is not. He is depth. A spot starter/long lefty reliever. He has proven very valuable in that spot and until he develops an out pitch, will never be anything more than that. Right now he should be working my on a splitter or cutter that can generate more swings and misses, because his current pitches only work if his control is exceptional.

    Time will tell!

Kimbrel had a slightly more difficult year this year as the walk rate rose and his post season was subpar. Felton is coming. Lakins is coming. But what do we do now! It would be nice to trade for the reds closer, who could be even better with us.

I only watch Red Sox and Bruins, while following the patriots. Basketball is a joke played by clowns. The sport is waning in popularity and headed for a financial collapse.

Buck needs to focus on nfc football and continue to be aikman’s special “little buddy”. But at least he is better than yankee bought and paid for costas.

Bullpen thoughts: We make kimbrel a qualifying offer, but no doubt he moves on. Then we trade for the reds closer. Maybe move chavis, dalbec and houck for him. Kelly will probably move along as well with a chance to be a closer somewhere. No doubt in my mind that come August, unless injured, we will see durbin and/or Hernandez in Boston. Durbin is the perfect 8th inning guy.

My first question is... will Pedroia be healthy next season? I think that has a major impact on our infield.

Pearce was locked in on that homer! No let up in these guys tonight!

Why is sale being skipped? It’s not everyday you get a chance to pitch the clinching game of a World Series???

Kimbrel is folding like a cheap suit!

    It’s all about scouting!

We need the offense to win this!
  24. Larry Cook
Clearly we need to give kimbrel a qualifying offer. I think we give one to Nathan as well!

Where is our offense hiding tonight!
