    Rumor has it that desperate dave is trying to finalize a deal for the Texas closer. Of course Texas is probably wondering what is worth trading for from the dumpster fire we call a farm system. The only way this makes sense is if the Texas closer has a history of arm troubles, Desperate dave can gobble up sore armed relievers faster than most Yankees fan can post bail.

    Can it be a coincidence that Happ and Britton are both lefties and we struggle with lefties. Don’t we have 13 games left this year against New York? The lefties could do some damage to us.

    Betts loves Camden yard. His average will rise just because he is facing Baltimore pitching.

    Last year his arm died in late August and he willed himself to 300. We absolutely need to give him an extra day or two throughout August or his arm will die by the middle of September. It would be so huge to get a win in the first game of a playoff series this year!

    Shawaryn threw a really nice game today. 7 innings no runs. Secondary stuff looked really good. Might be time to move him to Pawtucket, Northcutt with his first professional tater today. Should be interesting to see how he develops.

    Talk radio speculated desperate Dave is trying to bring back Ziegler, If nothing else, he proved he could pitch here previously and we need 8th inning help.

    Bradley saves the day! Nice win. Bogey with another grand slam this year. I don’t think we had any last year and now this year we have 8 or 9 before the all star break. Really hope Rodriguez is ok.

    Gcl Sox won 1 to 0 today. Howlett is an 18 year old 3b and he scored the one run. He is now hitting .317 on the year.

    Sale pitches seven stupendous innings tonight and hembree nearly costs us the game in the 8th. Kimbrel comes in and needs to do the four out save. We need a closer for the 8th inning. Not another set up guy, but a closer for the 8th inning.
