Early season observation #1. Seems like there has been an organizational philosophy change in pitching this season. Maybe it is less nibbling and more of just straight going after batters. Mistakes be darned, get after it and have a short memory! A second observation. Something has changed defensively with the catchers. I have not figured it out yet, it is affecting the pitchers effectiveness! We are not as passive defensively as last year. Even if nothing has changed, early results are encouraging.
