    Regarding your last sentence--Bauer was never found to be guilty of sexual assault. There was not evidence to substantiate the complaint from the woman. Just because she made the complaint DOES NOT MEAN IT HAPPENED. I have a friend who was told by his wife that she could destroy his life by filing an assault charge which she proceeded to do so and the case went to trial. At the trial he was found NOT guilty and the judge scolded his ex and said the case should have never made it to trial. Meanwhile my friend lost all his savings to legal fees and almost all his friends as well as his job and eventually was forced to move because of the fallout YET HE WAS FOUND INNOCENT ! Is it not possible that this woman simply saw a target [Bauer} and saw a chance to make a score? Not saying that is certain but is it not a possibility given the end result? Having said all this I still don't want the Sox to sign Bauer because I simply don't like his character and attitude but it is not because of the unproven sexual assault charge.

    i can't answer that. I can only speculate there is more than we know about with Bauer. He has been out of the game for a while now so who knows how good he would even still be?

    the problem with Bauer runs deeper than just the assault situation. He was actually found to be not guilty so that in itself should not be killing his career as it is. The guy is a bad apple on the field to boot. Ask Tito what he thinks of Bauer. I remember when he came to pull Bauer who then in disgust turned and fired the ball into the CF bleachers. The Dodger players all voted to get rid of him after the charges even though the team was on the hook for his $$. I feel for the guy but he kinda made his own bed.

    hammer me all you want but i'd rather finish 80-82 and move up a couple spots in the draft rather then moving down and finishing .500 or even 82-80. I don't see TB putting much of an effort in these games.

    O'neill did hit 31 HR's but also has 155 k's and is on an 0/24 streak to end the season. You want to sign him to a 3-4 yr deal?

    yeah because Anthony is going to hit 50 HR and 50 SB'S AND provide some legit pitching even if it is just for a couple years. I am not advocating a trade for SO just using him as an example. I keep Anthony.

    those guys are just bottom end guys just like most of the other pitchers the Sox have acquired the past few years but I agree the Sox probably figure they have enough P for 2025
