  1. Right that Cora never asked Raffy to play 1B, and said he wasn’t going to. If Cora had asked Cora to play 1B my stance would soften some. Raffy was never going to be a backup infielder at Any position, and that’s why they told him to put his glove away. It doesn’t change anything if Bregman, and or Casas both went down for the year. No one is going to be a better DH than Raffy, and Raffy is not going to be better on D than what’s out there now, so NO need to move Raffy off DH where he is best suited.
  2. Romy, and Toro have been solid at 1B. No need to try Raffy there, or even pick up a glove.
  3. Cora wasn’t going to bring it up, and that’s why Brez talked with Raffy. Me first would have been to Raffy to stay at 3B. Team first is Raffy being DH, and being good at it. Team first would not be a bad, bad 3B, and try to make a 1B out of him, and especially during the season in real time. 👋
  4. Brez talked to Raffy, but Cora didn’t, and Cora said he wasn’t going to. Cora, and Brez had a disagreement about it, and Cora won out even with JH refereeing.
  5. Most likely Toro, and Romy won’t keep this up all season, but right now as Cora has said the Red Sox are solid at 1B, and also at DH.
  6. So the main purpose of putting a bad, bad fielding Raffy back into the field was to get Anthony in the lineup, and moving a bad, bad fielder to 1B has pretty much been the only option of many on here, and the media. The Red Sox are solid at 1B without Raffy there.
  7. He is playing where he was told to play, which is DH, which getting hm off the field makes the Red Sox a better team IMO, and I think Cora’s as well. There is a very bad misconception out there that Cora has told Raffy to go to 1B, which he hasn’t, which is driving the media, and many on here to come up with a negative, and false narrative.
  8. I would say this sums things up pretty well.
  9. Not just a bad fielder, but a real bad fielder, and I have never gotten the philosophy of moving him to another position. He is fine right where he is DH, and calling him all the bad names in the world isn’t going to make it happen. Some poster called him insubordinate, because he hasn’t gone to 1B, but his manager has never told him to go to 1B, so I don’t know how that is insubordinate.
  10. Why don’t you go do a Wildcard Standings update? Maybe you’ll feel better. By the way you are the one who said the gut punch losses were killing you.😉👋
  11. That’s what I said last offseason.
  12. Not quite visions of the Butterfly Man, but I agree.
  13. If all 36 losses were by 1 run it would still be 36 losses, and most likely most would be from bad fundamental baseball. They are what they are a bad fundamental baseball team.
  14. And I don’t think they have anymore of a plan now when Abreu comes back then before ST.
  15. Raffy is doing what’s best for the team in being the DH.
  16. The Red Sox don’t have a plan outside of shuffling the deck chairs around on any given day. Anthony in RF is no different than Mayer at 3B. They just fill in where there is an available slot.
  17. You also have what happens when Bregman comes back. More roster decisions.
  18. Gut punch losses? Talk about being over dramatic.🤭 The Red Sox are a 36 loss team that are more losses than every team in the league except for three. It was no surprise to me that the Red Sox took 2 of three from the Yankees, but it’s also NO surprise to me that the Red Sox looked like a Little League team losing last night, so the Red Sox losing again certainly isn’t a life, and death situation.
  19. As Lee Corso would say. Not so fast.
  20. I said before the Yankees series started it wouldn’t surprise me if the Red Sox took 2-3, so no surprise they did. Story Land had a good weekend for the team, and for us few supporters he has. Great to see KC hit too. The new Johnny Bench continues to impress, and like Cora has said 1B looks solid. Toro, Toro, Toro. Good weekend overall.
  21. That’s true, but it’s also true Priester has pitched more innings than anyone else on the Red Sox outside of Cro Man. I know the BP needs work, but not the amount they are getting. By your analogy the Red Sox are under 500 with Cro Man, so why bother?
  22. When you say several of US are not for anybody being fired you are not even talking about a blimp on the radar screen of RSN. Out on many other different venues I visit Cora is getting blamed a lot more than Brez, and the call is getting more frequent, and louder for Cora to go.
  23. Gio offered hope? He had become a HR Derby pitcher.🤭🙈
