  1. I believe you. I guess I’ve gone with the better story all these years. It did sound good.
  2. As much as I enjoy it I’m not going to do another I know you are, but what am I type thing. If a third party independent observer came on here, and read all these back, and forth on here what do you think they would say about everything? Really. Come on man.
  3. Like I said there are conflicting reports out there.
  4. Have you looked this up?
  5. This is the first time I’ve heard the theory that the Red Sox won, or didn’t win championships, because of analytics. I don’t need any history lesson, and I’m still trying to figure out how analytics would have helped the Sox to hit Bob Gibson. Buckner’s error didn’t cost a game? What part of analytics doesn’t say that? Your entitled to your theory, but nothing I want any part of.
  6. It wasn’t any better with Kike leading off, and neither one is hitting enough to justify anything. Glad to see nobody getting the day off today. Must be all tired out from doing all that running around the bases they’ve been doing.
  7. Just as much as they didn’t win all those years without them. They didn’t win in 67, because they couldn’t hit Bob Gibson, and not because there wasn’t any analytics to help them, or Billy Buck to catch that ground ball.
  8. There are reports out there, so nothing that I dug out of thin air.
  9. Are you saying analytics brought the Championships?
  10. You can hang on to Jeter all you want, but at this point I’m in the opinion that he’ll be pretty much a bust if he isn’t already. Time will tell.
  11. Or the guy in your mirror.
  12. Glibberish? It’s just my opinion, and just like your opinion calling it glibberish. Never said any of this was factual.
  13. Not as much interest in the Red Sox is my opinion. How much of the 2018 team was accumulated before 2018?
  14. The John Henry who bought the Red Sox is not the same guy now as he was then, so what happened in the past is in the past. He has more other adventures going on now, and I don’t think the Red Sox has all his interest as maybe it did before, so I’m not sure there is any big elaborate plan. Bringing Bloom aboard should tell you something, but I’m not sure what that exactly is.
  15. I just looked it up again, and appears to be conflicting reports on this does it not?
  16. Mookie wanted out of Boston, and the Red Sox waited one year to late to trade him. Resigning in Boston was a pipe dream.
  17. These would have never happened, because Duran, and Downs that you keep trying to pawn off are not that well sot after by other teams rather BTV accepts, or not.
  18. Radatz was the best I have seen the Sox ever had, but wore his arm out by throwing so many innings in a short period of time. I believe he struck out Mickey Mantle something like 47 out of 63 AB.
  19. I think it was already agreed that Mookie would be resigning, but I think you’re right that the Sox weren’t in a good position of getting back any prize prospects.
  20. I said at the time of the Mookie trade that Bloom should have gotten some pitching in return, and as time goes along he looks like he got less, and less in return, and no pitching.
  21. The key word is prospects. Prospects who have never played an inning for the Red Sox, and may never will, and at the moment not much help at all for 2022.
  22. I can just see this bullpen getting worse, and worse even if they were good just by the over use of having to pitch 5+ innings game after game, and just wearing down. You can only slog for so long.
  23. Maybe sweeten the pot a little with two other of Bloom’s prizes Jeter, and Wong, and even then it might not be enough. You didn’t just say reliever you said shut down reliever. Big difference.
  24. I think he is only worth starting, because Kike, and JBJ can’t hit 200 at the moment. I don’t think Duran would be otherwise.
