  1. Lots of posters on here did also. Be careful what you wished for.
  2. Rest In Peace Big Bill the biggest winner in NBA history. From college to the Olympics to the NBA no one had a portfolio like his, and never will.
  3. Way to go Renfroe. Stick it to Bloom, and all on here who didn’t think he was good enough, or worth a $6-7M contract to play in Boston. Priceless.
  4. Sounds like you need the cheese to go with your whine. Yes the Red Sox have won 4 WS under JH ownerships, but have they had just as many last place finishes? The Red Sox come out of the gate 10-19 before the injuries started to hit, and have for the most part only beaten bad teams even when healthy, so what kind of cheese do you like?
  5. That’s the way the game is played. Moon wanted to give Mookie a 14 yr contract. How many of those 14 years do you think he would be worth what he has gotten paid. How many years has Trout been worth it? Judge is going to get a big long term contract, and he won’t be worth it every year, and neither will Soto. Either play the game, or not.
  6. Nothing wrong with the contracts of JD, and Evol. Both have produced in Boston. Price would have never been thought of in Boston if Lester would have been signed like he should have, and Sales signing was one of the dumbest of all time for the Sox to give an extension to someone who was hurt, and TJ on the horizon.
  7. I am all for having good farm system. Going back to 1967 to the 2018 team most of the real good Red Sox teams have had plenty of home grown talent on it, so I’m all for that, but my main focus is on the Major League club, and like I have said many times I could care less about the ranking of the farm system, or anyone in it until they put on a Red Sox uniform, and produce, or are trade for someone who does. I could care less about the 40 roster, and I think just the average fan does also. To me a team like the Red Sox in a big market with a $200M+ payroll should not have any fire sales, or bridge years, or anything else you want to call it. You don’t have to win every year, but there shouldn’t be any last place finishes like the Sox have had plenty of to go with their 4 championships.
  8. I never wanted Duran as a starter. I was all for giving him a chance this year, but I have seen enough. No baseball instincts.
  9. Why, Why, Why Nancy Kerrigan? I don’t get the trust, and admiration he gets from some on here, and has gotten since his hire.
  10. How many outfield fly balls weren’t caught, or even touched, and the same for infield pop ups? Little league ball at its best. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Major League club having such difficulties doing such a normal function of the game.
  11. Or a team with no wins by a starting pitcher. What pct was 10-19?
  12. They are not going to trade Bogey, because he has a no trade, which he will exercise, and it’s been that way since before opening day, but yet some on here go on, and on about he should be traded. What part of NO TRADE don’t people understand?
  13. I’ll give you the injury excuse to a small extent, but that’s all. The only time the Red Sox have played well this year was going against the weak AL west who were even weaker when the Sox played them Seattle was not as good then as they are now, and the Angels were on a 15 game losing streak. The Red Sox came out of the gate going 10-19, and they were healthy then, so don’t blame the whole season on the injury excuse. That is the truth.
  14. I understand the being patient mode, but I don’t agree with being patient not with a payroll of $200M+. Having the Bogey, and Raffy contract situations hanging since before the season even started, and all these expiring contracts were a man made mess, which made this season turn into a bigger mess, and that to me is all on Bloom. His record is what it is, and all the excuse people will try, but it’s nots going to change that. I trust Bloom to know what he doing? NO!, and He’ll no!
  15. Can anyone tell me what Duran does good outside of run fast. So many have been clamoring for him to be a starter on here before this season started, and even talking about him, and Dugy only being LF, and one has to go next year. I myself have seen enough of Duran at anytime now, or in the future.
  16. In some ways this mess of 2022 is worse than the mess of 2020. Pretty sad when you consider a $200M+ payroll is financially putting this on the field for all to see. Seems to coincide with the arrival of Bloom in Boston. It took many years to get rid of the curse of the Bambino, but what about the curse of Bloom?
  17. DFA Streakman? That was one of Bloom’s prized signings this past off season was it not? It must have been it was a two year deal, and he doesn’t just do that for everyone.
  18. Does this mean you won’t be doing your daily wild card standing updates anymore like you were doing during the FANTASY month of June? Hilarious! I guess there isn’t any sense in watching a mess like this anymore.
  19. Slop in the morning. Slop in the afternoon, slop in the evening, and slop 24 hours a day. The gift that keeps on giving.
  20. You have made the same argument many times over, and is as weak as the Red Sox offer to Bogey, which was so weak it didn’t warrant a counter offer, so I’ll agree with you the Red Sox were wrong on this one.
  21. Never said it was, but the team was not injury riddled then, so I’d say it was more on Cora. The lowball offers before the season started to Raffy, and Bogey was on Bloom.
  22. Plenty of injuries there were, but this team came out of the gate lifeless, and listless.
  23. You keep on spewing the same old crap. Bogey has a no trade, and wasn’t going anywhere from sources I have heard from, so the Sox don’t have any other option, but to let Bogey walk, so you can keep on saying let Bogey walk for a comp pick all you want, and add to the 100 other times you’ve already said it, but that’s the way it has to be.
  24. I think most everyone knows that JH has the checkbook, but Bloom is the one who made the actual trade. Some posters on here think Bloom is Boy Wonder from the day he arrived in Boston, but others think Bloom is Boy Blunder, and I don’t think either side is going to change their mind.
  25. No the important thing to remember is that dgalehouse was to me right in what he said much to the chagrin of others.
