  1. At that point in the offseason? Why did they wait so long? He could have signed with Detroit, and that what. Everyone new it was a one year deal, and now the decision comes with deciding if you want to extend him even further for more money, and a longer period of time.
  2. Who’s to say it would be a massive overkill? Your Bible BTV?🤭 I could care less if it was a SO Called overkill, or not and that includes involving Anthony if it made the Red Sox better.
  3. Yes I can see JH approving signing a Tucker to who knows how big, and long a contract, and trading 2 relatively cheap OF they have already have?🤭I don’t see any chance of seeing Masa in a platoon with Garcia let alone being in the OF much at all. Garcia has a ticket to Woo already bought also.
  4. We need a big bat badly.? You mean like the guy you touted over, and over, and over again Devers Forevers. The guy who could have, and most likely would have helped against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium in the postseason. A BIG no on Flintstone at 1B also.
  5. We’ll just have to wait, and see IF, and when he gets traded. I just don’t think his value is as high as most think on here, and wouldn’t be any centerpiece for just anyone, and everyone. Once again wants, and needs.
  6. Ward brought back an often injured pitcher. A pretty good trade value??? I’ve Already answered I have no idea what value Duran would bring back in a trade. Maybe we’ll find out, and maybe we won’t. Each team has different wants. Baltimore signed TO after a 30+ HR season, and traded for Ward after a 30+ HR season. Think HR power is what they want the most? I bet they didn’t consult BTV either. Looks like HR power is what they want, so they may take a HR hitter over someone like Duran. Wants, and needs. Wants, and needs.
  7. That’s what you took out of that that Duran is worthless?🤓
  8. Agree. Duran has 1 less year of control, which is very important, and didn’t have as good a year in the field.
  9. As I said before that obviously Baltimore was interested in the Power aspect with Ward, first, and foremost. What do the Red Sox need most in the lineup? Power, and production first, and foremost. If they can play D great, but power, and production is Most important. I have No idea what Duran would bring back. So far nothing.
  10. I think his HR power is what enticed Baltimore to go after him the MOST just like with Ward hoping more RBI would come along.
  11. Maybe other teams see him like the Red Sox do as a platoon player. Plus he’s had some injuries the past few years.
  12. Obviously Baltimore is interested in the HR power, and the 103 RBI.You can throw all the other things out there all you want. Last year they signed TO for most likely his HR power. HR, and RBI, and I think it’s just that simple.
  13. Ward would be the type of player the Red Sox would pick up like with TO. I don’t think Duran has as much value as you think he does, and Duran had more value last offseason most likely.
  14. Taylor ward turns 32 in a few weeks, and hit 36 bombs with 103 RBI last year, which probably is enticing to Baltimore, which gave up a often injured SP.🤔
  15. Nobody knows what Abreu would do playing everyday, but there is only one way to find out. Duran is not going to be center piece for just everyone, but just one of the pieces. I think Duran would have had more value last off season than he does now.
  16. Exactly! Once Skubal hit the open market JH is not going to spend as much in that market as the BIG Boys would.
  17. I don’t see Skubal being traded before the season, and unless Detroit coughs up the money I don’t see anyway Skubal doesn’t hit the open Market. I also don’t see the Red Sox paying what it would take to sign Skubal.
  18. I would hate to extend Bregman any more years than he had on the table, but who knows. I’m sticking to the I’ll believe it when I see it stance, but I would like to see a Gomer, or two.
  19. Of course Brez didn’t spell out what he means by big.
  20. I don’t think Casas will sweeten anything. Coming off two years of injuries with the last one being a bad one I don’t think there would be much interest. The Red Sox tried to unload Casas last year with NO takers, and would be even harder this year.
  21. A lot of people on here are saying the Red Sox need 2 big bats, and a #2, but does the zRed Sox see it the same way? That’s what matters most, and will determine how things shake out. I keep saying I believe the Red Sox will fill in from within as much as possible, and anything more than that I’m in I’ll believe it when I see it mode.
  22. The Red Sox were never a better team last year without Raffy’s bat in the lineup. Could Raffy have been a BIG help in the postseason last year against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium? Yes, Yes, and Yes.🙈
  23. Didn’t the Red Sox use to have a pretty good hitter at one time? You know that DEVERS FOREVERS guy. Whatever happened to him? Seems like he was all the rave around here.🤔
