  1. Don’t forget Story’s bad arm either.
  2. Bloom did settle for Schwarber, and no one can predict what would have happened if Rizzo would have been obtained instead. I will agree that Schwarber was a big part of the PS run. I didn’t know we were talking about grades on Schwaber, but definitely could have used a real 1B the first 100 games this year did we not?
  3. That’s the best comeback you got.
  4. Do you really believe Schwarber was Bloom’s first option? He took Schwaber bad hamstring, and all only after Rizzo got scooped up by the Yankees.
  5. Would you rather have the players the Yankees got in their trades, or the players the Red Sox got in their trades? Cash beat Bloom to the punch with Rizzo last year, and were smart enough to resign him. Did the Red Sox need a 1B the first 100+ games of the year? I guess not according to Bloom. Franchy was good enough.
  6. As some would say a small sample size.
  7. Sale an injured pitcher at the time was a bad, bad signing no doubt about that. The team payroll I don’t believe was the reason Mookie was signed, but that JH did not want to pay out that big a contract, and that will be the same reason too if Raffy is not resigned. I’m not saying there is no fallout, but Bloom has had 3 years to work on all the expiring contracts, and only got rid of 1 in Vaz. What has stopped him from getting rid of more, before now?
  8. Does Price, and Sales contracts have anything to do with unloading some of the expiring contracts before this year instead of just letting them run out? Bloom has had 3 years to work on that. I repeat 3 years to plan, and do something. So if the plan is to not lock up Bogey, and Raffy then Raffy should have been gone already, and gotten the most back you can. With Bogey it is to late, but same thing should have happened to him too, before his no trade kicked in.
  9. Example??
  10. Franchy, and Duran have been good at Worcester too.
  11. The debate to me is if the Sox are better off today then when Bloom took over 3 years ago, and I don’t believe they are.
  12. Well written, and Bloom has had 3 years to cleanup the so called mess that DD left behind, but what he has done has let a bunch of expiring contracts run out, and unlike the Braves who have their young stars locked up for years to come, but Raffy is still out there twisting in the wind, and getting more expensive everyday.
  13. Nothing wrong with saying Bloom is great if that’s what you believe, and it is not offensive, but on the other hand it’s not wrong to say Bloom is in over his head if that’s what you believe, and that’s not offensive either. Agreeing to disagree on here seems to be the hard thing to do, and just leaving it at that.
  14. Everything’s a pissing match on here if you have a different opinion. Circle the wagons, and deny, deny, accuse.
  15. We’ll have to agree to disagree on that, because I’m with Bogey 100%, and it is what’s felt in that clubhouse that matters most, and not what you, or I think. It was pretty well know anyway, so it wasn’t like they were letting any cat out of the bag.
  16. Giving up on 2022 aren’t quitting?
  17. Right on, and we all know who will be leading the way, and say I told you so.
  18. I’m sure there was many.
  19. Coming from Bogey was a good thing, and I’m sure he was speaking for the whole clubhouse. I’m also sure that Bogey, and his teammates will give everything they got to win DESPITE BLOOM as they should.
  20. Tell Moon those outlets. He likes to read those things.
  21. Consider the facts. Bloom should have been in that clubhouse in Houston telling Vaz, and the rest of the team was was going on.
  22. It’s a lot more than radio talk show callers, and you know it, and you left out people who post on forums.
  23. Not all the Red Sox fan base are quitters like you, and 2022 should be the top priority as long as they are still in the playoff hunt.with Bloom’s track record I don’t know why you are so excited about 2023, and beyond. Not many GM types would trade their starting catcher in a playoff race for a backup, who his teammates, and the pitching staff liked, and respected. Bogey, and the rest Will try to win despite Bloom, and JH. I don’t think Bogey is a quitter like you are.Go Sox!
  24. So Bloom couldn’t talk on the phone from Houston? Sounds like anther excuse to me.As Lou Merloni said that was pretty much unheard of.
