  1. Both Cora, and Bloom I think had a hand in the decision making for Houck, and Whitlock. If Sale had been healthy to start the season I don’t believe Houck, or Whitlock would have started. Houck was the first choice when Sale was injured, and Whitlock only was put into a starting role when Houck wasn’t vaxed. With all the injuries to the rotation during the year both Houck, and Whitlock probably would have ended up there anyway, which would weaken the BP in the process, which was already weak to begin with.
  2. I get your point on all of this.
  3. I should have said all the praise he has gotten, and not all the praise, so that’s my error, but the meaning is still there.
  4. I’m not making anything up. I have heard more than once that Cora led the Red Sox to their best season in their history, so no made up has been done. With a payroll of $200M+ yes I expect them to at least be a team with a winning record every year, so if that’s wrong then I’m wrong.
  5. If Cora is going to get all the praise for 2018, and he has how come he doesn’t get any blame for this year?
  6. I know it suck’s doesn’t it? Pretty embarrassing to see where this team is.
  7. He won’t this year, but i don’t think Henry is happy with him.
  8. Some on here have used that more than once already, and yes it is lame. that we agree on.
  9. Injuries was one of many reasons, but just 1.
  10. No I don’t, and neither was I.
  11. And of course it’s not the other way around. It works both ways, so if it’s bad for one side it’s bad for both. We disagree, and you don’t like my opinion. Nothing sets people off more on here than saying anything negative about Cora, or Bloom, and that’s the truth, so for the we got Cora, and we got Bloom people you got a last place losing team. CONGRATULATIONS.
  12. And is anyone saying some heads should roll? Not only no, but hell no.
  13. Maybe, because the logical response that would have been added would have been the Red Sox would be worse without them.
  14. Are the old toughest schedule in MLB excuse, and if the Red Sox played in a different Div with teams that aren’t as good the Red Sox wouldn’t look, and be as bad. Is this what we have sunken too? Wow!
  15. Baby brained ********? Wow!
  16. You can F all you want, but you shouldn’t blame the messenger, but blame the message. A last place losing team is what you got, and let’s just bring everyone back, and pat them on the back.
  17. A 214 average isn’t good no matter who it is, but hitting 40 HR is more accepted than a leadoff guy hitting 214 with 6 HR. Schwaber does hit leadoff, but his job is to hit HR, and drive in runs, where some leadoff guys main job is to get on base, and let someone else drive them in.
  18. Not only a last place team, but behind the O’s, and there is no way to sugarcoat that, and nor it shouldn’t. This team came out of the gate losing, and they will end it losing, and yes they will end up a losing last place team. Let’s call it what it is. There are all kinds of reasons, and there should be all kinds of blame from TOP to bottom, and from players, and management alike. This is what $200M+ has gotten you, and yes have to pay some of that dreaded tax to boot.
  19. 5-6 5 games from 500 6 games from getting out of last place in the Div. 14 games left. Let’s just get this season over, and start on next year.
  20. So now we know why Bloom was looking for that 3rd option when he came to the fork in the road at the trade deadline. This explains it all.
  21. I think it depends on who else is on the team, and what is needed most. Hard to pass on 40 HR.
  22. Must have lots to sell.
  23. The only way to stop it is don’t do it at all.
  24. As many as they can. They don’t care where the money comes from. It’s funny to me that Ace Tickets is a sponsor of the Red Sox. Doesn’t it cost more to get a ticket from Ace Ticket than it would from the Red Sox?
  25. No Blame to be assigned, but what Bloom could get away with in Tampa might not go over so well in Boston. Bloom is not in Kansas (Tampa) anymore.
