  1. Rebuild from what?
  2. Most of the average fans I believe do not want to hear about extended future, but there is NO Reason not to be competitive every year unlike this year. The average fan doesn’t think about what the 40 man will look like next year, or any other year, and only care about what’s going on at the present time.
  3. Duran would bring more than Dugo? Wow! Duran is way overrated on here by some, and is not in anyway a high trade candidate.
  4. It’s hard to say on Bogey. Even though he has lots of hits this year it really doesn’t seem that way, and his power numbers are down, so is this year just a down year for power, or a sign that what will come eventually already has?
  5. I’m all for building up the farm, but just don’t see it as the #1 priority to success. Like I said on another thread that keeping your star players, trades, and FA should all be part of the process.
  6. Agree. The farm should not be the #1 option, but just a part of the process. Keeping homegrown stars, trades, and FA should all be parts of the equation.
  7. He looked good at Houston, but outside of that no he hasn’t. To many gopher balls this year.
  8. I for one do know what the plan is, and I don’t like the plan, or the one trying to executing it. Everyone is entitled to have, and voice there opinion. Is doesn’t bother me with all the pro In Bloom we trust crowd. I don’t understand all the trust, and loyalty, because the results doesn’t warrant it, but it doesn’t bother me.
  9. I think the straddling-the-fence strategy had more to do with JH fearing more wrath than they actually got would come down on the team with a complete fire sale, which they really wanted to do.
  10. I like #5. I have seen enough. Don’t know about #2, but agree with rest.
  11. Keeping HOF talent like Mookie, Bogey, and Raffy to start is the way to start. You shouldn’t be bragging you bought into the Fantasy month of June, and was giving daily wildcard standings updates, and saying 1 game at a time, so I don’t know what long ago is to you.
  12. And some never develop at all.
  13. I agree with you 100% that we suck from top JH, Bloom, and Cora, and to the players. Everyone, and fans too should be embarrassed with this mess. 4 games behind the O’s in the L column for last place. Fire Sale, and heads should have rolled too.
  14. I agree with you 100% that we’re not seeing the results of the leadership of Bloom, but then again maybe we are.
  15. No it isn’t, but you kind of have something to work with first, and this team had a cloud hanging over it before the season started with Raffy, and Bogey’s contract situations. The team came out flat, and listless.
  16. And Bloom’s job?
  17. That was before Bloom hit town. Irrelevant now!
  18. Oh please do. Like I said it’s what Vaz’s teammates including the pitching staff thought about him. Mine, and yours opinion means nothing. The trouble with clubhouse leadership to you is that it isn’t on a analytics sheet.
  19. Once again the team was 40-39 when Vaz started, but what about the rest of the team? Amazing that VAz is being singled out. Not surprising, but Amazing.
  20. I think there were a lot more reasons the Sox were losing than Vaz, and any number of players could be mentioned.Over analyzing, and fake news 101 that Anyone said without Vaz the Red Sox would collapse, or anyone else on the team for that matter. I think Vaz’s teammates, and the pitching staff had a lot different opinion of Vaz, and others on here, and that’s what is the most important.
  21. So because the Red Sox had a better W-L when Vaz didn’t play the the reason was Vaz. I got it, and got 3-2 since the trade confirms it all. Sherlock you are not.
  22. You really think what the Sox have done the last 5 games is because Vaz isn’t on the team anymore? Like I said if it is it’s to spite Bloom, and not , because Vaz isn’t on the team. I’m real sure the players in the Red Sox clubhouse would buy into your reasoning. NOT!
  23. If it was up to some I’m sure a lifetime contract would be in the works.
  24. Also one of the word police on here to analyze every word to to say i gotcha on something. Makes them feel important.
  25. You think he will be a clutch hitter, and a leader in the clubhouse like Vaz was. Of course that’s not analytics so that don’t matter to some. Matters in the clubhouse though.
