  1. Blaming DD is part of the party line of the Pro Bloom crowd. Even though Bloom has had 3 years to work on things like expiring contracts, and the Bogey, and Raffy contract situations, which he botched, before the season even started.
  2. We are not here now just because of DD. If Bloom knew what he was doing it shouldn’t have been this bad. He has made things worse.
  3. You are just now figuring that out when you have constantly talked about trading him like they were goin to get something back for him.
  4. I remember when someone made the statement early in the season that we got Bloom, and we got Cora, which to me meant we have a competitive advantage over everyone else. How has that worked out? Cora started the KC series off with bringing D Hern into a tied game in the 7th inning. How many thought that was a smart managerial decision? I’m not saying Cora is dumb, so don’t go there, but that was a dumb managerial decision, and the rest of the weekend went down hill from there. I’m surprised they got 1 win. The team came out of the gate lifeless, and listless, and now I believe everyone has quit. Heads should roll from the top of Bloom, and Cora down to the players. Saying they are an embarrassment is to kind, and you don’t need anything more than the eye test to tell you that. Bloom had the Gaul to have a team meeting after Vaz was traded. Do you think that made matters better, or worse? Analytics aren’t going to help with that, but the good old eye test will for those who want to look.
  5. Now the Sox are 3-4 since Vaz left, so is he still the problem that your flimsy excuse tried to make it? Priceless!
  6. Not only no, but hell no on Kike. Still trying to trade a useless Duran.
  7. Beyond lame? Wow!
  8. If I already said I could care less if JH payed out a $500M dollar payroll did you have to ask any other questions? That was your answer.
  9. The fans help pay the bills. Or not.
  10. But some on here will tell you the future looks bright. Did someone say prospects?
  11. Agree 100%.
  12. It would be a shocker to me if Casas was traded at least in the near future, and I think to Bloom too.
  13. Remember Bloom is still trying to figure out that 3rd option at the fork in the road.
  14. I could care less if JH would have to shell out $500M for payroll, and probably most of the season ticket holders, and everyone else who pay those high ticket prices do either. I know some on here worry about it, but not me.
  15. Ok. I agree, but I also believe from the possibility of losses of Bogey, Raffy, and the already Mookie departure. You won’t get equal value to replace, so you don’t get better that way.
  16. I would agree 100%.
  17. Rebuild from what?
  18. Most of the average fans I believe do not want to hear about extended future, but there is NO Reason not to be competitive every year unlike this year. The average fan doesn’t think about what the 40 man will look like next year, or any other year, and only care about what’s going on at the present time.
  19. Duran would bring more than Dugo? Wow! Duran is way overrated on here by some, and is not in anyway a high trade candidate.
  20. It’s hard to say on Bogey. Even though he has lots of hits this year it really doesn’t seem that way, and his power numbers are down, so is this year just a down year for power, or a sign that what will come eventually already has?
  21. I’m all for building up the farm, but just don’t see it as the #1 priority to success. Like I said on another thread that keeping your star players, trades, and FA should all be part of the process.
  22. Agree. The farm should not be the #1 option, but just a part of the process. Keeping homegrown stars, trades, and FA should all be parts of the equation.
  23. He looked good at Houston, but outside of that no he hasn’t. To many gopher balls this year.
  24. I for one do know what the plan is, and I don’t like the plan, or the one trying to executing it. Everyone is entitled to have, and voice there opinion. Is doesn’t bother me with all the pro In Bloom we trust crowd. I don’t understand all the trust, and loyalty, because the results doesn’t warrant it, but it doesn’t bother me.
  25. I think the straddling-the-fence strategy had more to do with JH fearing more wrath than they actually got would come down on the team with a complete fire sale, which they really wanted to do.
