    What do you mean the O’s didn’t do anything. They picked up one of Bloom’s prized trade pieces Franchy Strangeglove.

    My big question is why should Raffy want to resign with the Red Sox at all if they are going through a 5 yr rebuild, reset, cliff not going all in, or whatever else you want to call it?

    It’s just my opinion, so I don’t see why it should cause such a stir. I get everything point you are making, but I would have rather spent the money on Senga if the Red Sox were going to chance on someone, which to me would have been a bigger need.

    I thought the Martin signing, and the Jansen signing were good signings. Maybe a year to late, but still a good signing. They did not cost $100M+ either. My opinion is just that they have overpaid for someone unproven in ML baseball. It’s just my opinion popular, or not on here.

    For all the talk I hear about payroll on here I would think any contract, and the amount of money that contract is would be important.

    Time will tell if this was a good signing, or not. I hope I’m wrong, and it is.

    If the Red Sox were a well oiled smooth running organization the nits would be few, and far between, but we know that’s not the case.

    $100M+ is a lot of money for the Red Sox, and that is my point from the beginning. You can have your point, but it doesn’t change my point.

    Now I’ll admit I may be biased in my opinion on the signing, but I saw a picture of Bloom, Kennedy, and Boris in it, and that is something I just don’t care to watch, but thanks anyways.

    Then why did Bloom lie to Kike, and tell him the Red Sox were going to be better next year?

    Asking a question is not criticizing, and that’s why I asked. I haven’t watched F&M since Sept, but thanks for asking. I heard it at the gym.

    I guess you haven’t noticed that the Red Sox are not in Steve Cohen’s league, or many others. $100M+ is $100M+.

    It’s to early to judge Jeter, and Franchy two of Bloom’s prized returns?

    I criticized Bloom all year, and rightfully so, and I listed the reasons why, and no I wasn’t the only one on here who said the Red Sox should have played out the string, and you know that too. The bad part was I had to pick up the daily wildcard standings update when you bailed out, so at least I didn’t quit like you did.

    I’m not a big fan of the signing for that amount of money, so what if I’m first in line, or not?

    Did Yoshida actually say at his intro press conference yesterday that he was shocked at the amount of money he got from the Red Sox? Nice to see Boris there too for a great photo shoot, because he was shocked too, and it takes a lot to shock Boris.

    You are hearing a couple on here talk about tanking. Hearing it anywhere else? I’m not.Tell that to the ticket buyers who are even paying more money this year, and see how that works.

    Sounds like you are doing what you accuse other fans of being. A crybaby fan. There were all kinds of reasons for last years finish, from injuries to lack of production from the big stars, but Bloom had a lot to do with it too starting with his infamous JBJ trade, his very bad failed plan for the back end of the BP to start the season, and then of course his do nothing approach to the 1B, CF problem of Franchy Strangeglove, and Duran the Butterfly Man, until the trade deadline. There were still in it at that point, and to me still should have gone for a postseason birth. You didn’t like it, but many did.

    That statement about Story was more of a head scratcher than the JBJ trade. His range has nothing whatsoever to do with his arm strength from the SS hole.
