  1. Ahh judging the old John Henry to think he will follow past ways.
  2. Not necessarily none of the above.
  3. JBJ was well liked, and there wasn’t a big uproar when he left except for why he was traded for in the first place.
  4. It’s all part of the equation. Like I said earlier go, and ask any player in any team sports if clubhouse chemistry matters, and I think most would say yes.
  5. Bloom, and Cora are the team leaders.
  6. And I’ll remind you that most fans don’t care about the tax like you do.I don’t care if the Red Sox had a $500M payroll. Let’s go all in with, Bogey, Raffy, and let’s land The Judge too.
  7. Of course there is no reason to bitch about the guy in charge after this overachieving year? Everything but I suppose. What goes on in the clubhouse is the important piece, and not what goes on in this forum, so that was not to stifle anything, but to make the point that what the players think is more important than what we think.
  8. Neither did Bloom’s, or Cora’s.
  9. When was the last time you were in the Red Sox clubhouse? There you would have gotten your answer, and not on here.
  10. It’s not the first time, and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
  11. You don’t know what Vaz would have done if he would have stayed in Boston now do you? Vaz got a lot of big clutch hits in his career in Boston. We know Vaz wasn’t good enough for you, but at any rate to me not doing the fire sale at the deadline was the right thing to do at the time. It looks worse now, but nobody knew Raffy would go into a power outage also.
  12. I thought next year is only 2023.
  13. To me you should never give up on a season, and still make the high paying customers at Fenway pay the big money to watch it.it’s never guaranteed the next year will be any better.
  14. If they are all still here in 2025, and beyond I would think that would mean some success in the meantime, so that would be a good thing. Even I would rather see Bloom, and the Red Sox succeed, than Bloom, and the Red Sox fail like this year, and be gone, because of it.
  15. I agree mostly, but I don’t blame Bloom mostly for this one. Yes they could have let him finish the season, but if the players had played better to make the team more competitive, and still be in real playoffs contention he probably would still be here. I know most on here don’t think so, but I think clubhouses chemistry does matter. Of course it doesn’t show up on any kind of stat sheet, but ask most players, and I think they would say it matters.
  16. How do you know that even JH is looking ahead to 2025, and beyond? I can’t see Cora, and certainly Bloom still being here at that point either.
  17. I’ll stick to my original statement that he would have stayed as long as he thought there was a chance to resign.
  18. I don’t think most of the average fan is even thinking about 2025, or 2026 let alone worrying about it, or 2023, or 2024 for that matter, and I don’t think Bloom is looking that far ahead either.
  19. I don’t think Bogey would have gone anywhere Unless he was pretty much sure that he would not be resigning in Boston.
  20. It’s also the right thing to do to put your so called best team on the field when you are playing teams still in playoffs contention.
  21. 4-6-10 Good offensive game today to pad some stats to make them look better than they have really been playing, and that includes Raffy, Bogey, and Kike, and JD. 4 games from the 500 mark with 16 games to go.
  22. True said, and Casas is in the big spotlight right now. I don’t know if he has lots of weight on his shoulders, but he certainly has had lots of hype.
  23. Finally a win for ND! I don’t know how many more they will get though.
  24. 5-6-11 Still 5 games from that elusive 500 mark, which is going, going, gone pretty much with 17 games to play. Good thing KC is not in their Div, because they can’t beat them either.
  25. I thought JD would still be good for 20 HR, and 80-90 RBI, but his power was gone all year, and his Ave too after a pretty good start.
