I just don’t get all the Duran talk at all. I said last offseason that Duran wasn’t in their plans, and he wasn’t, and only got a chance to play, because they were desperate, and when he did he sucked worse off than he did the year before, so I just don’t get after he did suck last year that he would be in any kind of plans this year outside of being a last resort, and desperate again. One on here even said the new rules would help him. He SUCKS!

That’s what you keep doing. Duran, Duran, Duran. Platoon platoon, platoon. Too much worries about minute stuff. Duran isn’t decent at anything, but running fast. From prospect to suspect.

D always matters to me, but not to the extent it does to you.Would it be better to have a Mookie, or a Dewey in RF? Of course it would, but those type isn’t always available. As you know I Don’t need all the metrics, and stats to tell me who’s good enough, and who is a butcher. Story ending up having surgery messed up him moving back to SS, which I have said repeatedly I believe he was going, and now Bloom doesn’t know what to do, or how to do it.

To much worrying about how someone looks on D. Renfroe wasn’t good enough in RF. Dugy isn’t good enough in RF. Bogey wasn’t good enough at SS. Vaz wasn’t good enough at C. None of these guys are butchers out there. Franchy, and Duran were butchers.

After watching Franchy at 1B, and Duran trying to play CF last year i don’t think it will look all that bad.

That will stir up some excitement in Portland. I saw Jacoby’s first game many years ago, and this will top that.

I agree, and like I said last year I don’t believe he is in any long range plans, which is to bad, because the Red Sox certainly could have used him the last two years if he was any good.

I don’t know why you are so hung up on Duran, but to each his own. Duran is one of those guys I talk about all the time, which I believe has gone from prospect to suspect.

Let’s pump the breaks a few times here. 2023/would be a real long shot.

When the zRed Sox needed a CF, or RF last year Bloom after 2 months went out, and got a LF, which then pushed Dugy to RF, which I agree is not his best position. No doubt that an alignment of Dugy, Kike, and Duvall would be the best D alignment, but Dugy in RF, and Yoshida in LF probably won’t win any gold gloves.

Ok Sheldon, but you missed the point. Cora, and Bloom thought JBJ in RF over Renfroe, and Arroyo backing him up would make the Red Sox better last year. How did that work out?

Wow! All this Dugy trade talk, which I don’t believe will happen, and Duran still getting way to much ink then he should for someone who is not that good, or highly unlikely teams are lining up for him in a trade.

Funny, but I thought Bloom, and Cora knew more about which move would better position the Red Sox to make a run at the playoffs, so if Kike plays in the IF that must be it, and that’s where Kike would rather play anyways. Didn’t ticket prices get raised this year? I believe they did courtesy of JH, and no a good GM would have gone out, and gotten a reliable 1B, and CF last year, and not just watched the circus continue for 2 months, which Bloom did, and not relied on 39, and 40 of the 40 man.

What position Kike plays in 2023 is not going to make, or break the 2023 Red Sox. Kike would rather play the IF anyways, and there are bigger problems really than where Kike plays. Oh no who’s going to go off that precious 40 man to make room for Duvall.

If it happens fine, but reports of being in on Duvall have been out there for a few weeks now, and nothing’s happened along with being in on a number of IF. I’ll believe it when it happens. I keep hearing all the Duran talk too just like last year like he’s in their plans, and I don’t believe he is just like last year, and just like last year I don’t think he is used unless a very last option.

Sounds like good arm, but not that good a C, and does K a lot.
