  1. Chang at 2B tonight. Arroyo hasn’t done much of anything.
  2. I’d settle for 80-100.
  3. That’s the standard Cases is getting judged on? He has 6K’s in 11 AB, and has 1 wind blown fly ball past the Pesky Pole.
  4. So Bloom still wouldn’t have taken a pitcher?
  5. Then why was everyone on here speculating that Story be at 2B, and who would the Red Sox get to play SS? There was many post to that.
  6. Arroyo has been dreadful, and Casas has looked overmatched at the plate at times too. Kike has hit a couple of HR, but hasn’t done much else. It’s only been 4 games, and everything could change tonight, or a week from now. Maybe even the starting pitching will get better.
  7. Finally someone has admitted to what I had speculated right along that the plan was for Story to open the season as the SS before he got hurt when everyone else was wondering who the Red Sox were going to get to play SS. I haven’t even heard anyone ask after the injury until now where Story would play if, and when he comes back now. I have no idea arm wise what he will be able to do, or not do if that happens, so I have no idea where he would end up. A lot could happen between now, and then, and probably will, so I have no idea who would move where. Kike depending on what he does with the bat may be odd man out himself, but things would probably work themselves out.
  8. I wonder what Bloom would have done if 3 clubs hadn’t passed on Mayer?
  9. To me I here all kinds of talk on here that the Red Sox have all kinds of arms in the organization like Kut Man, and Wink, Mata, Murphy, Walter but to me these guys are not much more than some arms to fill out the organization. Seabold was even touted on here too for a while. Mata can through 100, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be a good productive pitcher. I think the picture for starters from within look pretty bleak, but then again what else is new.
  10. Who knows! I think you can only do so much with a pitcher to make them better, or not, and it’s not like Bush has much to work with.
  11. Unless Bello turns out the Red Sox have Nothing close to Smoltz, Glavine, or Maddox in the organization.
  12. 5 innings at the very least, but 6 would be better.
  13. Luckily the Sox got the stopper Pivetta going today. He’d better be the BP needs a rest already.
  14. Usually the wind is blowing in this time of year.
  15. Can’t go to the BP this early.
  16. I was hoping to get a night off from Youck, but no such luck.
  17. Right now i wouldn’t change a thing. Dugy can hit LHP some, and i wouldn’t move Duvall anywhere right now either, because he’s getting plenty of RBI chances where he is. 9 runs a game right now, so why would you want to change anything? Later maybe.
  18. I agree and except of health to Sale, and Kluber I think the progression of Whitlock, and Bello are key. If those two don’t work out then the problem really gets bad.
  19. No, before he graduated. After that you’re at the mercy of the military. You have 2 years to decide if you want to stay at the Academy, or not.
  20. If you leave before 2 for 7 night there is no financial obligations. He wasn’t filing for any exemptions until after he got out of the Academy.
  21. I’m just saying he could have gotten out of the Academy after 2 years with no more obligations. I’m not sure about the money part.
  22. What a problem it is to have so many good pitches you don’t know what to do with them all. How did Bloom get so lucky?
  23. Song did throw a bullpen session Sat, so at least he’s throwing a ball again.
  24. It’s amazing that the Navy is getting all the blame when Song should share some of the blame too if not more. Song could have gotten out of the Academy after two years, but decided to stay in.
  25. Good for them, but I believe Roger Dodger did his full time.
