  1. Bloom could still most likely have a job had he gotten the Red Sox in the postseason the last two years especially this one.
  2. The amazing part is he actually stayed healthy this year.
  3. They are pickers, grinners, and spinners. Picking your pocket on ticket prices, and grinning about it, and spinning how the goal is to play for championships, and retaining players like Bogey is a high priority with a slap in the face lowball offer.
  4. Now that Bloom is gone are the Red Sox still underdogs, or heading for just under 500 again.
  5. There are many different rankings for the minor leagues. You cited one that ranked them 5th, but pipeline ranks them 16th, and another I saw had them ranked 14th, so pick, and choose however you like. Like I’ve said many times just because the farm system is better ranked doesn’t mean the big league club will be better than what they had with Mookie, Raffy, and Bogey just to name 3. Also how many of the top ranked prospects are pitchers?
  6. I heard the team in question was Texas.
  7. I get that, but didn’t they say how much of a priority it was to resign him, so why would they even ponder the possibility of trading him? You mean that wasn’t all on the up, and up?
  8. I know D up the middle matters, but Kike at SS, Arroyo at 2B, and Duvall in CF was not good D up the middle. When Kike was resigned i don’t know if putting him back was the plan, or not, or putting him at 2B. I think the plan already at that point was to put Story at SS no matter what the spinners, and grinners were saying about wanting Bogey back. JBJ sure could field in CF too, but you still have to hit more than he, or Kike did.
  9. Resigning Kike for $10M was bad roster management. Leave in CF? He couldn’t hit. Duvall was a better option for the OF although not necessarily CF.
  10. I get that, but the point being the Red Sox could not have moved Bogey anyway with his say so.
  11. That was just window dressing anyways, because Bogey had a no trade.
  12. Actually I read another report this morning that DD was actually in trade talks with the Dodgers about Mookie during the 2019 season when things wasn’t looking so good, but then the Red Sox went on a winning streak, so the Red Sox backed off. Might of gotten a better return for Mookie then, so just another thought for fodder.
  13. I can smell what Sam, and JH have cooked up, and it’s stinking to high heaven. Probably another ticket price increase too just to stir the pot.
  14. The point is that with reports out there, which I just found out about a few weeks ago just make me more skeptical of the who thing. That’s all.
  15. And losing they did. Hopefully they throw that recipe away, so it can’t be used again.
  16. When Bloom, and JH showed up together, and the boo boo birds let them have it I think it would have been hard to decipher who was getting the loudest boos, but since JH owns the team I guess he didn’t want to fire himself, so he gave Bloom the boot.
  17. How much input does Werner have I wonder.
  18. That would have been a major relief IF it had happened, or had a chance to happen. BIG if though.
  19. Is Henry actually making all these decisions since he doesn’t have Larry running the team anymore? Who’s hiring the next GM/HOBO?
  20. Nothing confirmed, and I can’t believe anyone was that interested in Sale, and his salary. As a #1 critic of Bloom even I don’t believe that story.
  21. The good, or the bad for Story will always be on Bloom. Credit, or blame just like Sale has been for DD.
  22. Wrong again. I said there was reports out there that said Bloom was never told he had to trade Betts. Before I saw that report in the past my main criticism on the trade was that they didn’t get enough back like some pitching. I had always assumed that the decision to trade Mookie was made before Bloom was hired. Maybe trading Mookie was one of the reasons DD,and JH had the fallen out.
  23. You mean the standing ovations both got at last winter’s meet, and greet didn’t change his mind.
  24. If Story doesn’t come back, and hit next year that’s 4 more years on that contract. Yoshida is not a bust, but he’s no $100M man either. Both party gifts by Bloom.
  25. I’ll answer that like this. I believe if Mookie didn’t get signed by DD then he wasn’t going to get resigned in Boston.
