  1. Unfortunately it’s not good for me, them, or most important the Boston Red Sox baseball team.
  2. It’s pretty obvious to most Red Sox fans that Bloom is pretty much responsible period for everything from construction of the team to start the season to not getting any pitching, before, or at the deadline. The word in NE, and on the street, and anywhere else you venture in RSN is a lot different than you get mostly on here. Now is the future, and not what might happen in 2024, and beyond.
  3. I’m not the one who said if they don’t see Dugy in any long range plans sit him. That would be the last reason to me.
  4. I just heard some of Pap’s comments he made the other day after the sweep by the jays. He asked what the analytics were of using so many BP guys, and what the analytics were of injured players coming back. If there aren’t any I guess Bloom is trying to invent them. Also when there were some smoke somewhere around the ballpark Pap said don’t worry Bloom is still the HoBO I guess in a reference to the Pope. Also said the Red Sox were definitely underdogs now. Classic Pap telling it like it is no only from an ex ball player, but a pitcher as well. Well done Pap.
  5. I wouldn’t not play Dugy, because he is not in the teams long term plans.
  6. I don’t have a problem with Ref playing even playing against RHP, because Dugy, and Duvall haven’t been wielding a hot bat, but i wouldn’t take Dugy out, because he’s not in any future plans.
  7. Ref has been nothing, but a journeyman for a reason for years. Dugy was maybe their best player the first part of the season, and now, because he might not be in the team’s long terms plans you want to sit him. Wow!
  8. I didn’t know Woo was the big leagues, but at least he stayed healthy. He hasn’t played SS in two years, and I’m sure he hasn’t forgotten how, but I’m just not expecting that much from him when he comes back just like I felt with Duvall.
  9. I was talking more about the RHP situation, but you have to stick the loser reference in there. Loser to me is saying why bother to add anything since the team ain’t good enough anyway, so why even bother to watch?
  10. Wow! Getting riled and F’n. I didn’t think I was complaining either, but just raising a question. If you criticize it’s bashing, or hating. From one extreme to the other.
  11. I never even mentioned Ref, and in some of my other post I said the Red Sox had 4+ OF. No one said Ref shouldn’t play at all, but I don’t think he needs to play every time. If Dugy, and Duvall are going well they would stay in the lineup. Dugy wasn’t getting benched until Duvall came back. I was talking more about the constant rotation against RHP. Like I said things aren’t working out so well now with the OF especially Duvall, and Dugy.
  12. It’s a big question if Story can play SS full time.
  13. Yes the whole team is in a slump, so obviously the way it’s being done now is working so well. Bury the other 2? That’s one way to look at it, but so is playing what you think is the best 3. It shouldn’t be so complicated, but Cora has made it that way.
  14. Wow! 1 gift win(?), and people are all giddy today. Which way is the wind blowing today?
  15. Dugo hasn’t been the same since he got taken out of the leadoff spot either. All I’m saying is none of the 3 have been exactly killing it with the bat lately, and I don’t think being in, and out of the lineup helps.
  16. 11-48 in Duvalls last 15 games with 17 K’s, 2 HR, and 4 RBI. Cora thinks he has to keep playing all 5 OF, and I don’t believe he does. I don’t think it doing Duvall, Dugy, or Duran any good to be in, and out of the lineup. Pick 2 of the 3, and stick with them.
  17. Looked like a nice win last night, but the bats have to get going. It’s looked like slumber with the lumber for to many games now.
  18. Well they pushed Bello back a day to face the Royals, so they’d better win this one.
  19. The stands are still being full, but what was brought up too is that it seems more of the opposition fans like Toronto, and the Mets are filling up the stands, and over shadowing the Red Sox fans, where it used to be the other way around when the Red Sox went on the road. That to me says more tickets are available. Of course it’s all money to JH pockets no matter where it comes from.
  20. Sorry I missed it. TC must have been aghast.
  21. Also a lot milder on here than the Newspapers, the airwaves, or the street too. I just heard that Pap was ripping Bloom on the postgame yesterday. If he was good for him.
  22. Agree, and the starting rotation has always been a big question of health. I know many on here wanted the Sox go out, and get a SS after Bogey left, and keep Story at 2B! and it hindsight that would have been the best way to go.
  23. Who knows, and we’ll never know what this team would have done the last two years without out all the injuries. Outside of the little league play at times maybe things aren’t as bad as they seem, but like I said we’ll never know.
  24. I agree I have heard the so called Bloom supporters all criticizing Bloom at some point, and hard to believe that I have praised Bloom a time, or two. I said it at the time that he did a good job of fixing the backend of the BP with Martin, and Jansen.
  25. Now we agree that this team way to often looks like a bunch of Little Leaguers, but I just keep the feeling that they will put things together, and play well enough, and long enough to get into the postseason, and then anything can happen. That may be more than wishful thinking, but that’s all I got. If it’s wrong then it’s wrong. I’ll admit I’ve become a bad baseball fan, because I don’t like the way things are done today, and I just think it’s a watered down product, but I do keep up what’s happening, and look at the box scores every night. We disagree, but I just don’t see a sell off when there is still a mathematical chance. I felt that last year, and I feel that this year. My football team years back were having a losing season, and I posted that I hoped they lost games the rest of the year to get a better draft pick. Long story short they won the SB that year, and I got roasted, and toasted. I get your opinion to a point, but just don’t agree.
