  1. I’ve already explained why i don’t as you say show up when the Red Sox win. I’m not a cheerleader, and Pom Pom waver. Nothing wrong with being that, and nothing wrong with not. To me it means more with staying with a team to the end like last year than bailing. Different strokes for different folks.
  2. Didn’t you pine for Gallo too?
  3. Oh so now I wait in the shadows. That’s funny, because I’ve been saying NOshida, and GOshida all year long. Just like I said Story Land is open, and Story Land is closed all of last year. If he’s good I say it, and if he’s bad I say it. Day by day.
  4. The botched tax line last year wasn’t Bloom’s doing? If it wasn’t then whose was it, and how do you know? I don’t believe Bogey would have waved his no trade last year either. If you don’t know what was Bloom’s doing then why defend him either?
  5. We’ve disagreed enough on this, and we just have a different interpretation.
  6. Did JH tell Bloom to stay over the tax line last year, and in the process end up with a losing last place in the Div finish, and out of the playoffs? No one knows for sure what JH has told Bloom what he can, or can not do when it comes to the payroll. You’ve been counting right down to the penny the last two years on how much the Red Sox had to spend. I asked this past offseason on who said the Red Sox were going to spend up to the tax line. They didn’t.
  7. To you it’s all about Blaming Bloom, but the point I was making was the totality of the makeup of the team makes for the bad defense. I mentioned Raffy, and Casas, because they have been mentioned so much lately. I’m sorry for picking on poor Bloom.
  8. Cora said exactly it doesn’t matter how many prospects you have, or what the farm rankings are.Followed by what matters most is what you do in October. I interpreted that as meaning in the here, and now, and taking a little shot at Bloom.
  9. Where did I say about trading anyone? I didn’t. I’m not the one who suggested a trade for Casas, or Yoshida. I’ve been saying right along they are what they are, and I’d be shocked if any were traded, because it’s not in Bloom’s DNA, and the Red Sox were stuck with them. I never said anything about not extending Raffy either. I said if he’s so bad on D maybe they shouldn’t have giving him so much Money. You love Jansen, and Martin? Yes great pickups, but I said they needed him, before last year even started, and you said he was too expensive. For the last two years of the Bloom regime this team has looked way too often like a bunch of Little Leaguers on D, and running the bases. Must of been inherited. Move the goal post? You bet! I’m ready for some ND football.
  10. He has pretty much been discussed all season GOshida when he he’s been spraying the ball all around, and up to the top of BA, and NOshida when he pounds ping pong serves to the IF.
  11. He was talking about in the moment, and nothing else. Not the 2024 Red Sox, or the 2025 Red Sox, or beyond. The 2023 Red Sox are what’s important to Cora, the players, and coaches, and I’m sure lots of fans too.
  12. What about all the other things I mentioned? If Raffy is so bad on D maybe Bloom shouldn’t have given him so much money. Bloom is not to blame for Raffy, and Casas D, but he put together the rest of the team that leads to the totality of the D, and that was not inherited.
  13. Yes all the complainers are complaining too soon. None of the three are all around players, and there is a good chance that none of them will ever be. Mookie is, and was.
  14. Cora mentioned prospects, and the farm system, and said it doesn’t matter how many you have, or the ranking. I don’t think I was misinterpreting what he was saying at all.
  15. All the hype, and anticipation of Casas being at 1B in a Red Sox uniform is here. Everyone wanted Raffy resigned, and he was. Most were giddy over the Yoshida signing. What’s not to like?
  16. Pick, pick, pick. This is Bloom’s 4th year now, so I think the inherited card has expired. Did Bloom inherit the 1B situation last year, or putting a 2B out in the toughest RF in the majors. Did Bloom inherit the SS experiment with Kike at SS this year. This team has had bad defense, and bad base running for 2 years now. Is that all inherited? Bloom started the year last year without any reliable backend of the BP. Was that all inherited? No someone before him got him Casas, and Raffy.
  17. I never been against rebuilding the farm, but I just don’t want it done at the expense of the big league club. I’m not for going out, and spending on these long expensive contracts either even for pitching, but like I said to me a good front office should be able to keep winning enough to get into the postseason, and make the farm better too. Why do you think Cora said it doesn’t matter how many prospects you have, or what your farm ranking is, but what matters most is what you do, or don’t do in October? He been there, and done that as a player, and a manager, and I’m pretty positive he hasn’t been happy with some of the situations, and players Bloom has given him the last two years.
  18. The maddening part is that Raffy can look good one minute, and bad the next. If he could just get more consistently good he could be salvaged, but so far he has not.
  19. Point taken, but I’m not talking about spending like those two did, or anywhere near it. Bogey was a foolish contract.
  20. Yes they should, but I’d rather see more money put into the rotation.
  21. If you have to get down to that level then I would say the front office, or offices haven’t done their jobs.
  22. This is where we disagree. I would say the players, the coaches, and most of the paying customers who pay top dollar want to win now, where you seem to think it can’t be done without sacrifice to the future, which may never turn out that good anyway. I keep saying a good front office to me should be able to win enough to get into the postseason season now, and also build up the farm. To me the Big League club comes first, and to you the farm comes first. To me it should be both at the same time. You’ve bought into the Bloom awesome thing, and it may get there at some point, but then again it may not. It is nowhere near a certainty.
  23. Like I keep saying Raffy, Casas, and Yoshida are what they are, which are hitters, but not good defensive players, and I’d be shocked if Bloom traded either Casas, or Yoshida, so in other words the Red Sox are stuck with them. I wasn’t against signing Yoshida as much as the contract amount.
  24. Once again the mess that Bloom has created.
  25. You’ve got two sides of the coin with crybabies on both sides, but it seems that none of the crybabies are happy, so Bloom has accomplished that feat.
