  1. Hartman had a bad game no doubt, but the O Line, and running backs pretty much sucked too.
  2. I don’t think they would be doing any better with Kelly, but Freeman may be in over his head. Is was a very quick hire.
  3. A well deserved loss for Notre Dame tonight. A pretty inept offense with no running game, and who couldn’t make at least 3 short yardage on 3+4 downs. 2 bad face mask penalties one on each side of the ball added to the misery. Unfortunately I don’t see the losses ending with this one tonight.
  4. Wha, wha, wha. Poor, poor Bloom. Everything was stacked against him. I’ve heard the story a 100+times. No budget, and all those bad circumstances. You have always held the theory that, because Bloom failed that every other GM would have also including DD. 1. Bloom NEVER should have been hired in the first place. 2. Bloom was in way over his head. 3. Bloom was a big failure in Boston, and anything anyone says is not going to change that.
  5. I have heard about the bad circumstances Bloom was under at ad nauseam. Bloom made more of them circumstances than he was handled. I believe that most likely if DD would have stayed things would’ve NEVER gotten as bad as they did under Gloom, and Doom Bloom.
  6. One of his many bad looks.
  7. I don’t think a scout, or a doctor had to much to do with the plight of the Red Sox the last few years. I don’t believe much of what Sam Kennedy says, but he was right at the year end press conference last year that All of baseball ops failed with the team having the record, and the finish they did. Well the same thing happened again this year, so all of baseball ops must of failed again. Now I’m glad as hell that Bloom is gone, but what I can’t understand is how others have gotten promotions, and gotten more power. Was Bloom solely responsible for the Sox residing in last place? I don’t believe that the Red Sox new GM, or whatever you want to call it job is as highly sought after like Sam Kennedy thinks it is, by working for JH, and not getting to pick his own manager, or even his own Exec VP of baseball ops.
  8. Henry got what he deserved, and unfortunately the rest of us went along for the ride. Bloom thought they were underdogs. He turned the Red Sox into a Mickey Mouse operation.
  9. Rays smarts?🙈
  10. I don’t know who had the brain fart to hire Bloom, but no one else got interviewed, nor did anyone else get fired along with Bloom.
  11. Henry got rid of the only one who was probably less popular than himself, so now he’s all alone, and the heat is ALL on him. I’m not looking for any big signing for the new person in charge either, and most likely more in-house than not.
  12. I don’t think Duvall would sign again with the Red Sox unless he was going to be pretty much be FT.
  13. Either way it will be Cora’s decision so we’ll have to wait to see what he comes up with.
  14. I know hitting isn’t as easy as some people think. Wasn’t it Ted who said taking a round ball, and trying to hit it square with a round bat isn’t easy? I said he had some good flashes this year, but I just want to see him do it for a longer period of time, before I give him a FT job let alone locking him up.
  15. Duran was 10-52 for August, so yes that hurt the offense. Who knows what he would have done in Sept. 236 OBP, and a 192 BA were not getting it done.
  16. I don’t think you will get Duvall for only 1 year this time though.
  17. Ref Man is what he is a platoon player, but the other 3 haven’t proven that they can play good enough in the ML that they can become FT players.
  18. Agree, and like I said earlier Duran had some good flashes this past season, but to me would have to show it over a longer period of time. Certainly not someone I would hang my hat on.
  19. Thanks for the correction. Yes.
  20. Moving Whitlock to the BP had something to do with that, and then doing it again in 2023.
  21. To me it’s a lot bigger risk, to lock him up now then it is to sit on him.
  22. Dugy, and NOshida helped those numbers out earlier in the year, but not so much later on.
  23. Bottom line Cora ended up with more power NOW, and Bloom is out of a job, so call it what you want. I don’t believe having a say, and a hand in the matter is managing the guys who fired him, but looks like he’s their R Hand Man now.
  24. Bad part was the joke was on us, and the rest of RSN.
  25. Duran, NOshida, and Dugy a far from a murders row.
