  1. I agree that 2021 made them think they could do business as usual, which is what Sam said after the 2021 season going into 2022, but then they went out, and signed Story Land.
  2. Oh the poor, poor Bloom saga again. I blame JH more than anybody especially for hiring Bloom in the first place, and for not even interviewing anyone else.
  3. There were a lot more problems then just adding pitching this year at the deadline, but by not adding any pitching when 3 starters were on the IL, and then just waiting for them to not only come back, but to ramp up in the process certainly didn’t help.
  4. To look at it now the answer would be no, but how did things look back on Aug 1?
  5. There was plenty of blame to go around from JH down to the players themselves, but i don’t see Bloom as being any kind of scapegoat. He is far from blameless.🙈
  6. Even more so in these days, and times. The Red Sox got in to the postseason on the last day of the season in 2021, and almost made it to the WS. That is why you never pass up a chance to get in.
  7. Today is the 12 year anniversary of JH showing up at the Felger, and Mazz show saying he wanted to go on the air, because he didn’t like what was being said about him, and the Red Sox. Do you think JH would do that today? I don’t believe so, and like I’ve said many times that the JH of today, is nowhere near the JH back in those days.
  8. That’s Sam’s job.
  9. 👍👍👍.
  10. Red Sox looking for a new interpreter for Masa. They are pulling out all the stops.
  11. I wasn’t thinking that JH offered Cora to be the head guy, but maybe like an assistant GM. Anyway now we wait, and see what happens. I’m still leaning more of an inside job then going with an outsider.
  12. OK I just thought that after he had the meeting with Tom, and JH, and he told them he wasn’t ready that they were actually thinking about doing that with him making more of the comings, and goings decisions, but someone else actually doing the negotiations, and dotting the I, and crossing the t’s.
  13. Not everyone who has a different opinion is, because they are biased, but just has different views, and what matters to them might be a lot different from what matters to you. The here, and now of the WL record for example, and not what might be in 2026. I believe the WL record of the here, and now is what matters most to the players, and coaches too, and should. I don’t claim to know the true pulse of Red Sox Nation only that there is more than one out there from the small sample size on here. The more places you go you learn that.
  14. Do you think Cora was offered a move upstairs?
  15. There is an article on NESN. Red Sox Rumors: Red Sox fire two coaches. That is a fact. At the end of the article presently there are 24 comments, and most of them are against Cora. That’s a fact, and you can read it all for yourself. I know it’s hard to fathom on here that not everyone out there thinks as highly of Cora as most do on here. Like yours, and mine they are all opinions, which once again you don’t like. 700 calls Cora a cheater all the time on here, and yes some others out there view him that way as well. Call everyone out there who feels the same way a hater all you want. Just, because Cora won in 2018 I believe he is way overrated on here especially. Heck John Farrell won too. Like I’ve said the views on here are nowhere near as mixed as they are out there on Cora, or even Bloom for that matter, and you can write columns after columns, and that’s not changing anything. Thankfully everyone has an opinion, and everyone is entitled to that opinion like it, or not.
  16. Well no one has to worry about Cora begging JH to let Bloom stay. No it was not Cora’s call to fire Bloom, but I just think he had a lot more to do with it than YOU think. Especially when it happened. I read an article on NESN, and at the end there were comments, and one of those comments said they could not believe how Cora has almost everyone eating out of his hands management, and fans alike, and I kind of agree. The comments on Cora were a lot more mixed than what they are on here. I still remember the comments of a well known poster on here a few years ago when they said we’ve got Cora, and we’ve got Bloom. Like that was supposed to give the Red Sox some kind of competitive edge, or something. How did that work out?
  17. Maybe if Story had brought his bat to some of those games, and actually used it the Red Sox might have won more games. Story Land was closed most of the time.
  18. You can think what you want, but if you don’t think Cora had a hand, and a voice in getting Bloom fired I don’t think you got picked off base, but didn’t even get on base to begin with. 🙈
  19. Cora is now JH’s right hand man, and is in charge enough to get Bloom fired.😀
  20. Especially not the way things are now. Was Cora offered the job when he met with Tom, and JH? Why else would he tell them he wasn’t ready? Now Sam says they are going to do this big extensive search. Very suspect to me, or very curious as the Globe said.
  21. It won’t be a make believe person, but will it be someone who is really in charge?
  22. I think a clean housecleaning should be in order with a real person in charge who can pick all their own staff including the manager.
  23. Red Sox SS were 27 in OPS this past year for you OPS people. Story didn’t help much there. Bogey didn’t have a great season either, but he was 7th in OPS.
  24. I agree, and someone else will be named to dot the I, and cross the t’s.
  25. Kennedy was asked about that more than once at the year end press conference, and Kennedy lined of hemmed, and hawed at the answer.
