  1. The way he said he was safe after Bloom got fired, and it sounds like Cora was offered some sort of FO job, so I think he has more pull than some think.
  2. I don’t think Cora, and Bloom get along all that well either, and that had something to do with Bloom going boom.
  3. I’m still waiting for that trade to happen.
  4. Not unless Bello takes a big step forward, Gio gets straightened out, the good Pivetta shows up all year, and even then they need help.
  5. Seems like money is the only excuse.
  6. If that 84 win team gets you into the postseason you certainly should go over the CBT to if if makes you better in the here, and now, and possibly down the road. If you are not going to play to win then don’t play at all.
  7. DD last season in Boston was looked at as a bad season at 84-78, and it was compared to his first 3, but that 84–78 wouldn’t look so bad today, or the last two years either.
  8. To me you should never give any season away to just hope, and pray for the future that may never be as bright as it might look, because of some hyped prospects, and in the meantime waste away some of Raffy’s prime years. I’ve heard about Mayer for 3 years now, and at the moment he’s stuck in Portland.
  9. I thought the Red Sox should have resigned ERod in the first place after the 2021 season, but I guess he was to expensive then.
  10. The Red Sox had to pay JT who opted out, and are paying Sale $17M to pitch for Atlanta, and I was told the Red Sox couldn’t have used that $17M to sign anyone, and now someone wants to trade Yoshida, and pay $50M of that too. I must have been missing something that JH is so giving, and kind hearted.🙈🤭🙈!
  11. Would you rather be the Dodgers right now all primed to win now, or the Red Sox hoping to be better 4 years from now? I’m not thinking about 4 years from now for the Dodgers, or the Red Sox.
  12. March 28th is all that counts. Some are dreaming about fire sales already, and the prospect of prospects maybe being good sometime between now, and 2028. Most of the fans I hear, see, or read about are only concerned about 2024 at the moment. I guess some are just skipping 2024 altogether.
  13. Reports, reports, reports. How many reports were out there about the Mookie situation? How many reports were out there about the Bloom situation from Bloom wasn’t told he had to trade Mookie by JH to Bloom had a chance to trade Sale, and his salary too, and didn’t do it. Who knows what Bres has been told he can do, and how much money he can spend. You kind of have to go by what unfolds, and the results, and so far the results haven’t been very good.
  14. A strong BP can be just as important as long as they don’t get worn out like last year. This pen could be even deeper this year depending on what they do with, Houck, and Whit, and if Jansen stays put.
  15. Now this is a well written post. One of your better ones.👍
  16. I’m still holding out until Mar 28, but the hope dwindles by the day.
  17. No i wouldn’t even of thought of BJ. The starting rotation did have some money tied up in it though.
  18. What difference does it make that DD inherited the homegrown talent from the 2018 team. The point was he added to it, and made the team better. The Mookie subject has been beaten to death many times over, and there is still no clear cut answer to any of it.
  19. Who are the aces right now that you would pay to see?
  20. Yes I like homegrown players. Mookie, Bogey, and Raffy still should be the foundation of this team, and that’s what players who are on the farm now should have been added to. How many homegrown players were on the 2018 team? DD added to them, and while I have praised DD for being better than Bloom I have also trashed DD for the Sale ext, and not locking up Bogey, and Mookie.
  21. Homegrown stars to me make more of a difference to me when following a team when you have followed guys from the farm We’ve heard about Mayer for 3 years, and if he lives up to all the hype that’s even better. I hold Yaz, Rice, Lynn, and Pudge in a higher regard than Manny, and Ortiz even though Manny, and Ortiz won a WS, and the others didn’t.
  22. The only thing that Bres probably got by being a player in Boston is how the media, and fan base is. I doubt that will help him any when it comes to making moves, or not making moves.
  23. You are 100% correct. Yaz is where it all started for me, and then Tony C came along, and many, many have followed since then.
  24. You threw a hissy fit before, cried, and took your toys, and went home. That’s a fact. That was your best work.
  25. YOU are the one who used the word dumb.🤭🙈🤮, so you must have been looking in the mirror. OMG, OMG!
