  1. Jays not missing Pearce when Smoak smokes Boston as is happening often
  2. Hauschild hits Betts---Red Sox hit back big time.
  3. Mitch is coming back when it counts
  4. Not funny, ******* rookie
  5. Johnson and Pomeranz are both LH'ers. They both throw slow teaser pitches. What's the difference in both reality and perception ? Johnson works quickly and throws strikes with his slop stuff (14 in first 20 pitches)
  6. No wonder his bat is a little bit off the last week.
  7. It usually is. Actual Sox players often don't arrive until the 7th inning, then takes one or two to warm up. If they didn't use these imposters early, the league would have to ban them for being too good.
  8. Going against another young "newbie". Will they make him regret his chosen line of work or make him think he has an HoF future? Should be a good shot for Johnson to get a win.
  9. Some of the outs were pretty well hit including the line drive he snagged himself..Drew's ultimate problem is that if he has to pitch like a Jamie Moyer type, then he must have tremendous control to move locations around and hit it, just inside th umpire's perceived zone. That is what he can't do right now. Also his mechanics all go to hell when pitching from the stretch and he leaves his left arm( the one with the ball), way behind his body so he can't bring the pitch down and in with any force. You would think a pitching guru could walk/talk him through all that, but he may be less than trainable like some other throwers who have been out there.
  10. Still 1-1 in Chicago in the top of 10. White Sox could use a walkoff in the bottom half to familiarize themselves with winning a little.
  11. Generally agreed, and don't think it will even come up at that time, but he did get 14 outs tonight, giving up 2 runs , walks and hard shots all over. The BP gave up 5 runs in 4 innings and were teetering up to the last out.
  12. Maybe this game is simply a statistical anomaly for the bullpen, but it shows a lack of focus and skill if nothing else.
  13. Hell, Tyler grooved that medium FB. Nice work BP !!
  14. No worries, Tyler. Sets up the DP nicely
  15. 80 wins??---still no guarantee of a .500 season
  16. FWIW (not much) other teams must hate to see Boston coming up on their schedule. They have a way to go but it's a scary bunch. We are spoiled because the score isn't 10-2 after 5 innings. Just remember who got your first 14 outs.
  17. I'm not Cora fortunately for the Sox, but my sense of humor would run Kimbrel back out there for the 10th.
  18. Giles has found the rung on the ladder lower than Kimbrel. Good for JBJr ,on another 0-2 pitch
  19. Don't count your hens until they lay the egg
  20. to the clubhouse for coffee, while Moreland circles the bases
  21. Same question as before--Why not intentional walk Beni to get at DP Moreland
  22. Ken Giles, recently fired Astros closer. At least Houston made a move.
  23. But with deceptive movement on the sinker.
  24. It was Jackie's fault. He couldn't leap tall buildings in a single bound
