  1. 46 pitches to get 5 outs, bases loaded with 2 outs. Either Porcello "saves " his game right here or time to leave the mound.
  2. The first shall be second and the second , first. Curing lineup inequality
  3. Pearce saves Devers bacon
  4. Dropping Leon (to be clear, I'm not in the Leon saves the world group)
  5. After all this time and experience, he seems never ready to pitch in the first inning. I saw him warmup to start vs the Rays a couple years ago and his preparation for the start took about 45 minutes. He pitched well that night.
  6. Porcello is beyond pitiful, so predictable
  7. Wouldn't you know Chris Davis hits what would normally be a single but the shift eats him up yet again. Nice win and a bit of a streak going. Results are turning
  8. If you are going to be an effective reliever, you must be able to throw a strike when necessary, or a good breaking ball/splitter that induces a swing. Otherwise you won't get it done
  9. Thornburg coughs it up in the worst way. Leadoff walk, then a true bomb.
  10. Fair enough. Be your own hero and do what you can do the best you can. Mookie Betts will eventually leave this team without his services after the next season. That's his privilege and right , so more power to him. But right now through 14 games, and in the playoffs last year, he was not the MVP type. maybe he has an issue that is being covered up, but I think it's between his ears.
  11. Look at the play by Bradley to save a run in 2 run game. Look at JDM hustling hard for a double on wet night . That's accountability by a professional
  12. The argument that Jackie Bradley, Jr earns his keep with his glove gets validated yet again, after the 2 out walk.
  13. You defend your "heroes" as if they gave a damn about you or your fandom. Telling someone to layoff Mookie Betts isn't something Mookie needs or cares about. These are not your hometown buddies. They are highly compensated professionals who occasionally need to be called on it when they don't show up.
  14. You are so f***ing predictable. Enjoy college, the real world is awaiting your exceptional talents
  15. But a key hit here by Betts would turn the whole season around. Let's see what happens.
  16. He's a bowler, not a baller. Something clearly wrong with that youngster's head
  17. Obie says it was a WP. In any case it extends the O's hopes
  18. Leon would have held that strike 3 . So the inning goes on
  19. Leon would not have called a change up there . Now Erod goes out with a bad feeling from a very well pitched game.
  20. Inviting great heaps of abuse, I will say that Betts is playing with his hardware in his pocket and his head up his ass this year.
  21. Exactly. Waiting to see the linedrives coming off Dever's bats. Now for JBJr.
  22. Unless it is the postgame buffet, then he can nibble all he wants, but don't gain too much weight
  23. David Hess actually pitched pretty well for Baltimore tonight , Sox didn't run him out of there
  24. To me most of his balls are rollover grounders to the right side or pop-up fl;ies tot the left side. Rare to see a strong line drive. I wonder if he has convinced himself to go with the inside out swing at Fenway because of the deep RF
  25. Bring up who ? Do we have more MLB type players somewhere ? Just kidding.
