  1. Now that the obligatory, two out Porcello has left the field, we can get down to the usual. Come from behind batting trying to catch up. Ironic that it's Moncada.
  2. Well, the White Sox sure are not. They are honoring the 1919 "Black" Sox tonight
  3. Stat Masterson confirms the weak first inning output as the 27th in MLB at 0.42 runs/aver.
  4. I meant the WS hitters and it happened, LOL. Beni blew it
  5. OB says 4-9 for the last 13 at Fenway. Weird science
  6. Going out on a long limb and forecasting that the Sox 1-2-3 hitters go out consecutively.
  7. Some good BA's in the White Sox lineup, say 5 of 9. Ancient John Jay trying to play again
  8. Since Workman won't be going away and Thornburg is sucking at AAA (0-2, 15.43 ERA, 2.79WHIP in a small sample of 4.2 innings), that leaves Wright or Johnson . No clue as to whether Wright can pitch effectively, and k'ballers are always a crap shoot . No one would miss him being gone. Brian Johnson is his own dilemma. Was the 5 innings vs Toronto, the real deal or just another teaser ? SW and BJ could both go if it solved a problem. Same for the bad back of Hector V. None of those 3 should be in any serious plan for 2020. Wrights record at PawSox is better than Thornburg. 1-0, 1.86ERA and 0.93 WHIP. Throwing his junk at AAA'ers is working for him. I imagine he will get both a chance in a couple days as well as some showcasing prior to the July deadline.
  9. Is it totally out of the question to pull off a significant change of personnel in July from the 2019 RS. I'm meaning that no one is sacred and you could reshape the team for this year and forward a few years by changing 4 to 6 significant pieces. That includes all players whose last name starts with B, amopng others. Not advocating anyone specifically, but put everything on the table in DD's last year of contract as Pres.
  10. Is it accurate that this season is the last of Dombrowski's contract as president of BBO ? If so, does he get a new deal from ownership. I'm sure the majority would think , yes he does. The slippage in 2019 and lack of necessary housecleaning at the lower end of the 40 man roster after 2018's huge success needs to be evaluated. Did ownership ties his hands on budget/tax matters (very possible) or did DD envision some type of reset in 2020 , and coasted into 2019 thinking he had an automatic 100 game winner and playoff contender ? One way or another someone fell asleep while the team has assembled a losing record at Fenway. Does getting the first or second wild card make it a good season ? Maybe if you were the A's, Rangers, Angels .
  11. I seriously hope he signs anywhere else after we trade him this off season for two players, a young OF'er and a starting pitcher. But given the reluctance of any team to pay big for a pending FA, I think DD may need to move him by this deadline. That would Excite the fan base. Red Sox Rebuild .
  12. Chavis K's 50% of AB's in the past week
  13. Which one--- You can't spell Big Inning without some of the letters in Biagini ?
  14. If Nunie doesn't bring the leather, he brings the wood. Luv this guy
  15. Despite a couple of brief 5 and 6 win runs this year, the listless performances have dominated. Only Devers and Vaz have shown real growth. X has solidified his role. No one else comes to mind as a better player than 2018's WS champions.
  16. Can't Cora give his man one of his old gloves ?
  17. Just as long as Remy and Eck tout it. And O'Brien's favorite, the K-pop
  18. JDM, my favorite dribbler. The Celtics could use him
  19. Beni, my favorite popper-upper
  20. Mookie's smiling and happy with a two hit day. Says to Tellez at first, I'm going to get paid, I'm going to get paid !
  21. Well, Cora held a clubhouse meeting, but it was about planning the London trip. I think he was concerned about the language difficulties
  22. A losing record at Fenway, incredible
  23. Just a guess but thinking Josh Smith will have a tough inning here. Hope not because a miracle could happen, but I'm sticking with the one inning , one reliever mode.
  24. Jung, tell us about the newest charity or Remy's book signing. Or what happened when Eck opened his hotel room door once when he was naked.
