    Just a quick observation, given that Iglesias has turned out to be a contributing player on both offense and defense BUT not be eligible for the post season was he released by the Angels early enough that Bloom could have picked him up timely? I think there was a few day lag between the release by LAA and the BoSox pickup, which I noted in a thread at that time.

    The best solution if you want a WC berth is to go 14-0 from here on out. Not realistic, then think of the anxiety that 8-6 would cause the Nation. The two games yet unplayed by Toronto, and one for the NYY'ers are still a concern . At this point the only acceptable outcome for this weekend is a 3-0 sweep of the Orioles. Payback for the still unexplained season opening series at Fenway.
