  1. And they will still be there tomorrow morning as the season reaches the 2/3rds mark. That is truly an achievement with some of the lackluster players who have been through the turnstile this year
  2. Brandon looks ok, big strong tall guy with a fierce look, but he just can no longer pitch worth a damn
  3. I think a lot of so called magic is actually illusions where your attention is misdirected
  4. I'll give Verdugo this AB to make contact, before explaining his shortcomings How many times has the little pissant grounded 4-3 in the past several games ? The one recent HR doesn't cover 97 guys left on base and in RISP
  5. Cora has a peculiar bias that has been evident over his time as manager for marginal guys . Can't quite fathom it but not hard to see.
  6. Because in the land of 10 lb. turds the 5 lb'er is King
  7. Can't even pin that one on Vaz. Rios is one a puddle of s*** pitchers in the MLB
  8. Robles is a hack who even the Angels, ever pitching short didn't retain after 2020
  9. Reading Bloom's interview and I'm sure there will be more, leaves little doubt he is thinking 2022 not win at any cost. The flip side is that you can only play the game currently going on , next year is never assured . Nice to lay a foundation but not if that prevents you from leveraging your current opportunity, with only 56 games to go. I get the feeling Bloom would consider the WC game a "win " this season
  10. Surprised Vaz didn't beat that throw to first
  11. Perez's slop really cost them in this comeback attempt . Cora should have gone BP when he saw it was 4-2, and the team needed a lockdown inning
  12. lot of LH hitters take that low inside pitch and lose it in the third deck. Verdugo, who in my mind is as undisciplined as a few others in our lineup , is not a big time player.
  13. Even TB's outs were rockets , lucky to not give up two more.
  14. Even Cora finally looks discouraged. You can hide it and sugarcoat it for awhile but the evidence of a poor finish is staring you in the face, AC. Robles and Davis won't help if you aren't competitive over the first 5 or 6
  15. Some of these multi-millionaires should be embarassed to show up in the clubhouse with the rest of the team
  16. Slip sliding away, the nearer your destination the more you slip slide away
  17. Zunino BA at .192, but very close to .800 OPS and 19 HR's, f*** Perez
  18. At this point there is one goal, hold the Rays at 4 runs . If they don't get that right now, then the game slips further away Thanks for one loud out , Marteeeeen
  19. Damn Vaz and his out and JDM with his chasing. Could still be a huge inning if Kike can whack one
  20. One good swing from getting back in control here. The good news is we could lose 13-2 again and still be on top of the Trop boys
  21. How the hell can you run into an out when the team is setting up for a possible comeback ?? Rationally glad Bloom didn't clear the decks to try and give this team a big bost. Just not primetime ready
  22. Listening to talk about what a great addition Schwarber is does not get me thrilled (yet). Be nice if he actually played sooner than later
  23. A nice contract and severance deal for himself , from John H. himself
  24. JDM is really in a funk, looks like the late great Chavis and dalbec have been coaching him instead of the other way around
