    Meanwhile , I watched a 40 year old Nelson Cruz round the bases 360 nominal feet one time and 180' the next on a single. Our turtles go 90' at a time.

    Just so weary of watching the slider chase by so many of our hitters. I understand it's a moving ball that looks one way, then "slides" across and usually down. But if you cannot see the red dot spinning out of the pitcher's hand and lay off then you are not a professional hitter, just another bat swinger. I don't see that many opponents chasing our pitcher's sliders. I'm not sure nayone except Sale even throws a good one. Totally leaadss to wasted AB's. Don't get it this late in the season after you have seen about 1000 or 1500 thrown at you.

    In reality, the Red Sox have played virtually the whole season with about 50% of the expected regular players and a bunch of AAAA'ers and other castoffs, including starting and bullpen pitching. Amazing they are over .500 in the AL East.

    Honestly, several of the Red Sox should be forced to spend the off season watching an endless video loop of low spinning sliders that would never be strikes except for the unbelievable urge by these same guys to swing at them , even when it would otherwise hit them in the toe

    It is not possible to so consistently hit hard into a shift and place the ball in the glove of the only fielder within 100' perfectly clean and with room to spare on the DP.

    If you are watching the ESPN version, you heard the Rays are now +46 run differential in the 9th inning and Sox are -31 , maybe 32 now. And they do it year after year with significantly under $100MM budget. Wish we had their GM. Oh wait, we do so WTF is going on here???

    9 runs looks like a big day for the offense. Actually it was one 6 run inning, an HR by #9 hitter and not a lot else. Am I griping, no way, just reflecting on how the score doesn't reflect the game action very well. And 4 of TBR's runs come on a fluke flyball miss (sun field) and a bad throw by a guy who won't be around much longer Also Laz Diaz must not want to umpire in the playoffs.

    Well only 5 outs left and still a huge one run lead. I knew when this was 7-1 that it would probably turn into a 1950's Red Sox 12-11 game

    6 simple outs, probably take 9 equivalents to get it done. Arauz did pick a nice time to go deep with a long ball.

    Nothing will stand up without a few more runs. This team needs to outscore due to allowing 29-35 outs per game
