  1. I can't be sure but the analytic guys may want to look at the 2Bman positioning on those 2 ground balls, especially the second
  2. Boone is still around, so there's hope for Chaim.
  3. For all our joking and criticizing as fantasy GM's , Bloom and Cora have the real world problem of dealing with a poor April start ( again) and reshaping a roster that includes Dalbec as a utility infielder, matching up with Yu Chang and Christian Arroyo, so $10MM Kike can patrol CF since the one guy Bloom brought in as a RH bat broke his wrist diving on a short fly. Good luck to 2 guys who need to salvage their careers over the next 5 months.
  4. Thank goodness we are going home to Fenway where we are, let's see 2-4?? Enough with the Rays, hope they win about 120 games
  5. Look at the OPS for Rays and it would be hard to get that lineup wrong no matter how you positioned them.
  6. Pulling Kluber was understandable but Bleier has no luck at all after the 2 ground balls
  7. Then Margot screws them royally with a perfect bases loaded 2 out bunt
  8. 2 f'ing ground balls and can't be lucky enough to be positioned to pick them up. Always with 2 outs
  9. Our range at 2B may be a little short of MLB minimums.
  10. So Cora pulls Kluber just before he qualifies for the win . A player's manager, but the move better work , not for Corey's W-L record , but because his selected reliever must get the next guy out or it doesn't help.
  11. And when you are scuffling for a break , your bullet shots hit the pitcher and roll directly to 1st base bag Followed by Turner's that DOES drop in on Lowe
  12. Casas with a 14 pitch AB, resulting in a walk. Great discipline. On the other hand his timing on several pitches including a center cut FB was not great
  13. HP ump goes rogue and calls at least 2 low/outside strikes
  14. Turner is coming alive and that would be good news
  15. With Springs sprung, let's tear up their BP
  16. Cal would have been the Tin Man instead of Iron Man , compiling over 10 consecutive games played in a row. I only trust Rafi could PH if the Sox stay in the game.
  17. 7 batters, 4 K's. Making it look easy. McGuire turned a 3-0 count into a K by watching strike 3.
  18. the only Sox lead in 4 games and Kluber blows it immediately. Congrats, Corey
  19. Who was the last Rays pitcher to lose to the Sox at the TROP ??
  20. Refsnyder goes deep adding to his baseball reference stat line
  21. In 2020 , Springs pitched for Boston. He was 0-2 with a 7.08 ERA and 1.82 WHIP. Shipped out to TB '21-'22 and now'23 , Springs is a cumulative 16-6 with sub-3.43 ERA each year. Whips for those years : 0.68, 0.75, and 1.00 What do we make of these facts ?
  22. A win is predicted as Kluber finds himself and the hitters pound Jeffery Springs, he of 0.00 ERA over 13 innings with 19 K's.
  23. 12 games in , trailing by 7 and income taxes not yet due. I do believe the Sox will win tomorrow and break this streak before it ties the record for a season start. Not since the Brewers of 1987 has any team gone 13-0
