  1. Lead off man reaches both innings, no follow up until the King of Walks reaches right behind Kike's GIDP, followed by Wong's walk, but ended by Valdez's K.
  2. Houck getting squeezed by yet another incompetent chUmp
  3. A catcher ( Wong) who can hold a foul tip is a special dude.
  4. Jason, here is a game plan for winning today; Sox score first and add incremental runs over the first 6 innings. Houck limits rays to 2 runs over 6 innings, avoiding the blow-up inning. Kike goes error free , and so do all other Red Sox defenders. Duran, Casas, and Devers each get 2 rbi hits. The bullpen delivers 9 outs without allowing a run, not sure who is available today but in any case it is not Jansen . Achieve these simple goals and it is a win over the Rays. Any resemblance to actual game results is purely coincidental and reflects the opinion of the author, not NESN or its employees like O'B and Youk or Wakefield.
  5. If Duran ever hit a 3 run homer, this would be the time. Or he gets the Golden Sombrero. You choose carefully, Jarren
  6. Wong makes a very good play on the foul to try and save Kenley's arm from Cora's abuse
  7. Here comes a bunt to move the runners over Didn't need the bunt because he can hit fly balls
  8. i would question using Jansen twice today unless the Sox had the lead. That was a huge opportunity in bottom 8th to pull this one out.
  9. Get the lead right here, Kike. I will eat all my words about your abilities Actually glad i don't have anything to retract about Hernandez. Still marginal player
  10. Given the huge pay differential between MLB and MiLB , should a guy like Bernadino be grateful for a few MLB paydays, or resent the fact that he performs well , then gets a free ride west on the Pike? Or is he on a guarantee salary no matter where he pitches
  11. Bernadino does his job well. If this goes extras, who will be around to pitch tomorrow?
  12. Kike at SS ! A defensive move for the ages, especially after a big K PH'ing
  13. It may take Casas a couple of years to get to Jarred's current level OR Kelenic might regress to Casas's current level......or not
  14. Nice "double" by Devers, but they all count. That has to be an error Give Wong credit, as a catcher, running hard on a 3rd out pop-up
  15. Bernadino can be sneaky good when he is on
  16. There's little point to criticizing Casas but he does fail to make contact ( not necessarily a hit) when it counts. Infield in and he can't touch the ball with a man on 3rd, one out
  17. But also Roger Maris, but I didn't want to hurt your head
  18. Geiger reminds me of Carroll Hardy who not only PH for _____________ but also for _____________.
  19. Stealing 3rd on a LH'er is like taking a cookie from a small kid and eating it in front of him. Pull Sherriff.
  20. Sherriff is about to get lit up, this needs to be his last batter. True relievers do not do well beyond 20 pitches. He's at 27 pitches and failing
  21. Steal 3rd with no outs in 1-1 game? Nice move
  22. Maybe Tapia takes a hike as he turns into the 5th Of'er, perhaps DFA'ed to see if anybody would trade for him. At this point I think Duran , going on 27 in Sept, needs to make or break . Going back to AAA doesn't much help him nor the team. I also guess that Duran could be available at the trade deadline, like a few others on the 40 man. Not advocating it, however. I hope he continues to improve
  23. That would help a lot with some of the clutter. Who does pay for this site presence on the i'net?
