  1. Very nice grab Devers and cross infield throw from the knees. That was worth watching
  2. Not long SS. He would not survive the first Tkachuk in that luscious mouth and playoff beard
  3. Awwww Max, can't we just enjoy a rare win from our crowd of inept clowns who cannot play this game with any degree of certainty , finesse, skill nor energy ?
  4. Who says they need 5 runs ?? 3 was plenty vs the Bronx Bummers. That's why total scoring and run differential are not meaningful stats in terms of W-L's
  5. Jansen does close it out. A win is all that matters. Huge win, and a loss for Cole
  6. He does unravel from time to time
  7. Volpe hitting .190/.618....no chance
  8. Arroyo will not be playing goalie for the Bruins next year. Also doesn't have the pads to do so
  9. Close and close... Interesting English language
  10. Gotta give Kike credit on that catch of a flare
  11. F' me Arroyo ! 2 DP's and a K, you are special. Oh yeah, forgot your bouncer to second baseman too
  12. Pivetta should get a raise on those 2 outs ! ( not really, that was his job) Just do not bring him back for the 8th
  13. When your catcher is a virtual rookie, 2B is a journeyman , SS is a CF'er, and your Cf'er to date is a marginal rookie type, what did you think was going to happen, Chaim ??
  14. Arroyo would not give up the body or face to block Wong's s***** throw, then the free pass on the walk/passed ball gets 1 for the Yankems
  15. Sox have Cole on a growing pitch count and Arroyo attacks three pitches, 2 out of zone to end the inning. Cole is still likely done.
  16. Cole racking up a 93+ pitch count, may be done after 6, if we can stretch him further
  17. Rafi finds the wall and passes by it
  18. Turner is on the slide of death as a DH. It will take awhile but he's going to lose the comparison contest with JDM
  19. Chaim is also very unlucky and can't catch a break . This makes his judgement mistakes on players really bad
  20. Poor AB by Yoshida. Passed on 2 center cuts, one at 3-1. What could he have been looking for >
  21. Been unavoidably detained this week but really enjoyed reading the game thread on the Cora-Kluber Guardians game. Lots of potential reality on the FO vs Cora behind the scenes. Alex may well be showing the FO up, and the team knows it, so plays sloppily. Nice that the Sox and whitlock are competing well so far tonight. I think if this season doesn't result in any notable improvement, there will be changes made by ownership. To me, it all started with a wishin-hopin off season that has backfired spectatcularly on Bloom, the latest being goodbye for 2023 to Sale. At very best it would mid -September before he could pitch again. Chris Frail---remember him well.
  22. .182/.479 = McGuire's last 15 games. His bat, among others got left in the wood pile
  23. Originally Cubs, then the Jays, but now he is all ours. But he's young, only 33 and that number exceeds the number of MLB games he has appeared in, 31. The truth is that no one knows where Bloom discovers these young gems with big upside.
  24. Der-moody follows the game plan to a T by getting beat in the first inning for an HR. He did get a DP, however, so it wasn't a 3 run jack
  25. Now, Fred ? He's been there most of the year with only a few peeks above the line for a quick but not deep breath. Illinois is more precise on it but I was trying to imply some positive notes on Casas, never again !
