  1. Beltran is out too
  2. My favorite is Beltran, but between those two I hope is Meulens
  3. It looks like Thomson will be with the Philies, one less in the run for the job.
  4. I like it, if he gets the job the question is who will be the bench coach, he will need somebody with experience, I like Peña, he was more than decent with Torre
  5. If you want to know Kimbrel current value, you need to start with the package the Sox gave for him two years ago: Manuel Margot, Javier Guerra, Carlos Asuaje and Logan Allen. That was the value of Kimbrel with three years of team control, his value with only one year should be far less than that. But he's one of the top three RP in the game, you might get something better if he's traded during the season, by the way, I don't think the Red Sox trade Kimbrel, I bet they will try to extend him. Regarding the Chapman, the Yankees basically got Gleyber Torres, because Adam Warren was just a throw-in (he was terrible the first half of the year), Billy McKinney prospect value was very low and Rashad Crawford, which value was never high. I know this deal was a huge win by Cashman and the Yankees scouting team, but it was a win-win at the end, the cubs got their first WS in a century and the Yankees got the prospects they wanted. At the end of
  6. It looks like Beltran is the front runner for the job.
  7. Me too, I have the feeling he will end up in Seattle
  8. I agree with you, but the problem is with the ones who were never caught or those who were very popular among the press will get in. For example Rickey Henderson & Mike Piazza were never caught and are already in the HOF, basically the "best cheater" will be rewarded. I agree that there are no solid reports of them linked to PED's but in the Henderson case he was with the A's when almost everybody in that clubhouse was using for me is very suspicious; and with Piazza you just need to see the numbers in his peak years and those were huge in a very demanding position during the PED rampage years. There might be a few cheaters already in the HOF which we don't know about, there's no way that the voting will ever be fair.
  9. Let's hope it doesn't have any long term effects
  10. Sad, but true.
  11. I agree, you shouldn't trade him, but if the return is Stanton you have to listen.
  12. I agree that the Cubs might need to add a little more than Russell, maybe they take on Prado contract to offset the difference. This way Red Sox get Stanton and Volquez Cubs Get Benintendi and Prado Marlins Get Russell and Chavis That way the Sox do not have to take on Prado's contract and the Marlins don't have to take on Castillo's
  13. They been on record saying that they want to shed payroll and don't see how getting Castillo fits that plan. I don't think they would accept Castillo or pay a penny of that atrocious contract, they just want to dump it. I haven't heard a single thing about the marlins paying a portion of what's owed to Stanton.
  14. I heard the Cubs want Benintendi, if you switch them is a proposal the cubs might take, by the way I don't see the Marlins taking on Castillo, they want to go as low as possible with the payroll, they might accept a lower level prospect instead of him
  15. lol good one!!!!!
  16. or Chris Sale?
  17. Still too much, don't you think?
  18. Agree, but it means he might get what MLBTR is projecting 6/150
  19. the problem is that not only the post, MLBTR also has Hosmer with 6/135 or something like that MLBTR has JD to the sox for 6/150, how do you like that?
  20. I bet you will, I started looking at some FA predictions and the money for Hosmer is in that ballpark another site said something like 6/135, crazy high for a player like him. In the other hand, if this is what he will get, how much for JD?? at least something similar
  21. Free agent predictions: NY Post Yankees: 1. Otani 2. CC (1yr/12M) Red Sox: 1. Hosmer (7/150) wtf??? This is not the first time I see this Hosmer rumor, what really got my attention is the $$$
  22. There you might have a match, still think you might need to throw a mid level prospects and the Guardians might listen
  23. I might be in the minority but I think Cessa could be very valuable as a starter, he will never be a 1 or 2 in the rotation, but I like him a lot. Just my feeling nothing to backup this, but ..... still my thinking
  24. I don't think JBJ will get you a pitcher like Carrasco, you will need far more than that
