  1. And he was playing half his games in one of the most brutal stadiums for hitters (Petco)
  2. What about Stanton for Kershaw straight up???? Just kidding, I know it's just dreaming, but ..... feels good to think about it
  3. There's a rumor floating around, it says the Yankees trade Stanton to the Dodgers next year and with the salary relief they will get Harper, looks crazy but crazier things happened in the past
  4. I heard they were asking for Gleyber in the trade, I doubt this trade will ever happen, unless the price is drops I bet Cashman signed CC as a safety net, nice and cheap deal for 1 yr
  5. Exactly, the biggest mistake for the Marlins was to tip their hand, everybody knew they were short in cash but it was just speculation, when they confirmed their goal for payroll they lost all the leverage in trade discussions
  6. The Yankees were dealing form strength, the Marlins not, everybody knows that they have to get rid of those salaries, that took all the leverage out of the conversations
  7. Zack Cozart to the Angels 3 Years /38 Millions
  8. You might get your wish, with this signing the teams with an opening will start getting nervous
  9. Another one off the table I believe this will be the trigger for the rest of the FA, they should start signing soon
  10. One more off the table Santana to the Phillies 3/60
  11. I like him, Adams + Frazier for Cole will get it done
  12. Probably, I just don't see Cashman missing in something like this
  13. ESPN's Keith Law says he believes the Tigers would ask for two of Gleyber Torres, Miguel Andujar, Justus Sheffield and Estevan Florial - plus two lower-level guys - from the #Yankees for Michael Fulmer. For that type of package, they should get a game changer SP (like Chris Sale) with enough cheap years of team control
  14. While I agree with your point, he did a few trades to clear roster space, if not the picture today would be something like 10 prospects lost in the draft
  15. What are the conditions for that vesting option?
  16. They might get far more in the trade deadline when a team is desperate, that's the reason the Yankees got that package for Chapman. For now his trade value is very low.
  17. Yessss We just need to get rid of Ellsbury
  18. I'd change Frazier for Gerrit Cole
  19. It looks like the Yankees have interest in Gerrit Cole, no indications if the Pirates are interested in moving him. I don't see the yankees getting Cole withou giving a few top prospects including Gleyber Torres, I doubt it happens but rumors are out
  20. Yep, he got 5yr/25Mill.
  21. Me too, but the Yankees want to see if he can transfer that dominance to a SP role
  22. I heard they will try Green as a starter in spring training, there's another option for the rotation
  23. The new Baseball America Top 10 is out Yankees Top 10 Prospects 1. Gleyber Torres, SS/3B 2. Estevan Florial, OF 3. Justus Sheffield, LHP 4. Chance Adams, RHP 5. Miguel Andujar, 3B 6. SYSTEM OVERVIEW Strengths: Undoubtedly, the Yankees' system's biggest strength in its pitching. That's particularly true when it comes to hard-throwing righthanders. Six of their Top 10 are pitchers, and five of those are power righthanders. Four of those five touched 100 mph or better. And they're all behind Justus Sheffield, who touched 98 mph from the left side in the Arizona Fall League. Weaknesses: Although the system is one of the deepest in the game, there's virtually no catching prospects on the rise. The best option is Kyle Higashioka, who had a breakout year in 2016 and made his major league debut, but missed most of 2017 recovering from injuries. The next catching prospects—Jason Lopez and Saul Torres—played at short-season Staten Island and Rookie-level Pulaski, respectively. BEST TOOLS Best Hitter for Average: Nick Solak. 24. yep The only good thing, from the yankees perspective, is that they can go all in with the prospects released from the Braves
  25. I don't know how to feel about this, he was a solid clubhouse guy, but other than that... I see no obvious qualifications for the job. I need to trust Cashman on this
