  1. Maybe, they're still going to spend 60 million and blow past it next year if they do.
  2. That would be more delusional than Bogaerts offer.
  3. SD got their guy, NY signed Judge, Philly and DD got their guy. and it's looking like LAD is going to reset the cap this year. Our biggest competition is the Twins. MAYBE Chicago. If we want in on the bidding for Correa. I'd imagine Minn already has a 10.300 on the table for him
  4. Because they currently have about 60+ million AAV to spend before they're hitting the luxury tax line. That's a plausible 3. I could see them going Andrus on the cheap and getting a better pitching duo.
  5. I didn't realize he was a conspiracy theorist. I'm going to have to look that up, trusting you're right here that is a hard pass for me.
  6. Your last sentence was “all of them” That’s not all of them.
  7. Nimmo was on my early offseason wish list, but the more I thought about it, the more I hated it. Not sure 168:8 gets it done. I’m not sure $6 million is enough to take him away from NY. We saw Judge leave $40 million on the table. Nimmo. Who is 30 next year, has played in over 100 games twice. He gets injured, and has a skill set that looks poised to age like Jacoby Ellsbury.
  8. Breaking news. Scouts have different opinion on ball player.
  9. Why stop at not keeping our home grown talent. We can start trading our future stars before they even reach the majors!!!!! Mayer, Bleis, Yorke, Rafaela, Mata. Ship em all out for Reynolds and Murphy, snd. #2. Hey. It be a decent team next yeat
  10. I'm not 100% opposed to guys opting out at 30. Get them for 2-3 more years of their prime in their 30's and let someone else pay for their late 30's. of course, this would be fine if the Sox actually retained some talent, which they don't. And when they do, it's the wrong guy (lately)
  11. If the Sox don’t plan on going big on a guy like Correa, they should prioritize a guy like Andrus for a 2 year stop gap at short stop. Invest in Brantley or Conforto for a OF\DH bat and add another starter. Not a bad off-season, but not lo king up Bogey stings.
  12. The opt out might have been the only reason Bogey did the contract. There has to be two sides to an agreement. Look at what players are getting, sometimes guys are just dead set on going to the market, and we as fans somehow think the team can always stop that. If teams could do that, free agency would barely exist.
  13. How often are guys returned? Remember, Whitlock is the exception, doesn’t mean one of these might not sting one day but it’s not likely.
  14. Two of the better relievers on the market this year. Two guys who would each have been your best reliever last year. The bullpen got a lot better. If Barnes recovers and Houck takes a step forward date I say…it could be elite.
  15. He might not have been the best fit in the outfield being profiled as a left fielder where we could use a right fielder, but we did need an outfielder and he is a perfect fit at the top of the order. What I want to know is. Do the Sox have a plan or hope Verdugo can handle right again? Or are they willing to just put up with subpar defense there for a year?
  16. Love him or hate him one thing Bloom has done is run a tight ship.
  17. Yes, but not a lot, maybe he’s a 15-20 hr guy. But if his skills transition over well he will be a walk machine that doesn’t strike out much.
  18. I wasn’t surprised to see big moves this week, actually I called it, but I didn’t see this one coming. But….it kind of makes good sense for them. They really needed outfielders, and this guy looks like he could lead off too.
  19. You have to think Hosmer/Dalbec are redundant on this team right now. I wouldn’t mind seeing Dalbec start the season in AAA and give him reps at 3B/LF and see if he can be a right handed corner bench bat.
  20. He was originally projected to get $15. MLB trade rumors seem to either be on with the money but short years, or on with the years but 15% too cheap. So Maybe Senga goes somewhere in the 17-20 range for 4-5 years.
  21. Next on my wish list. In no particular order. Brantley Conforto #2 #3 pitcher Senga/Eovaldi/Kluber If Brantley and Conforto both are additions Senga seems very unlikely.
  22. I wish we could pull the thread with our Originally Bogey predictions from months ago, but I believe mine was 8/217
  23. That's great, Bogey and Jensen in a day. The bullpen will be miles better next year. They could really use an outfielder and another starter.
  24. If the reports are true that Xander was going to go around get a bunch of offers from other teams and take them back to Boston then this could be this. If Bloom is true to his word I think it gets done today. Bogaerts will be signing an extension today and we may hear about it any minute.
