Machado is younger than Bogaerts. Bogaerts has 49 career HRS, Machado has 137. Exact same career BA. .282. 10 years of Machado with the DH, is good. Course years can be negotiated, with money. Buy-outs, Player Options, you can work around the years. I doubt he goes less than 8. -

30 million +, plus the years, I say. How much will he make after arbitration this year? He makes 11.5 now. Wouldn't shock me he starts at 10 years, with his Agent. This contract is going to be his big payday. You would rather have Betts walk, and keep Bogaerts? Not too sure about that. Well at least were not talking Harper, now your going into another dimension. -

Machado has a huge year, next year, in Baltimore not hard to do. What do you think he'll ask for? He'll just be 26. 35, 37, 32+ this season, and next at least 30+ HRS, not a big Strikeout kid. 2 Gold Gloves, you think 20 million a year will do it. Don't think so. I say he starts at 30. There's a team called the Dodgers, not even worried anymore about the Yanks, who will have a say in this. -
Good Post Spudboy. No need to extend him now. Players and Agents, are going to wait for Harper, and Machado, to set the market. If I were Bogaerts, I would consider it. His 2nd half nose dives, are going to cost him. Was he injured last year?

If it was me I'd skip a start. E-Rod inconsistency and doesn't go deep into games. 1 good Start for E-Rod not enough to judge for me. HR hitting team like Tampa good to evaluate Sale, if he's getting tired. When you have a tired arm, Sliders stay flat, and very hittable. Maybe good idea, to pitch Sale, maybe I'm making too much of it, good game after he just allowed 3 HRS to Yanks.

I think that Yankee loss was big last night. Farrell could (and I would put Sale on a Pitch Count), maybe 80, then out. With an Off-day Monday, he could work the BP.

Don't know if this was Posted, but Mookie just turned down a close to 100 Million dollar extension, for 5 years. Sean McAdam just wrote it.

Pomeranz was 3-0 with 2.72 era in July, 4-0 with 2.28 era in Aug. He's #2 in my book, at this point. Fister has been a Godsend, I like Bulldogs.

Which is why he was a 1 inning once in a while 2 inning reliever. You think he could face a batting order 3 or 4 times a game with 1 pitch? I don't think so.

Never said it is, but 2 pitches should be easy to figure out, to Major League hitters. You get a guy like Mike Cuellar who threw junk all over the place, but had multiple pitches was guy who was real hard to sit on pitches. You get guy like Maddox who had pinpoint control, seems like the exception, about having 1 or 2 pitches. He had a lot of movement on his Pitches.

Next year better to check him out, we'll see if Major Leaguers have him figured him out. Wow Randy Jones, remember him very well batters figure him out too.

Change-up pitcher like Estrada, who hits 90, and only get 3 hits at home, is scary.
