  1. E-Rod looks good today.
  2. Count how many 3-2 Counts E-Rod goes to.
  3. Thanks I was confused about this.
  4. I think Hanley needs 525 AB's each for the next 2 seasons, for his Option to vest.
  5. Teams that come back, to win games, are very dangerous teams. They force you to play 9 innings. Your head has to be in the game till final out. Really, really liking these Sox.
  6. If Stanton was here this year, and we didn't have Sale, you think we win division? I don't. Seen many teams with ridiculous Power, 78 Sox, Brewers, and didn't win it because no Pitching or not enough.
  7. If I'm a team, I would not take the Sox Lightly. They have been grinding and battling since the All-Star Break. The Yankees have made us a tougher team. Been playing Play-off baseball for last 3 weeks, and might have to battle to last day. Guardians and Astros, are going to get a battle. If we win Division. Yanks are playing good too.
  8. He'll be 21 when he gets on Field again, takes about 1 year to pitch to get his full strength again, 22,should be 100%. He makes the Majors by 24, that would be good as far as I'm concerned. If he's good. By that time both the Sox and Padres, will be different teams. Trades are made to help both teams, injury to Espinoza, makes this win for Sox. Unfortunate, but true.
  9. Still say Padres make Espinoza a Reliever, (Closer). Quickest way to the Majors at this point.
  10. Nobody factors in the Park. Toughest Park to pitch in the Majors.
  11. Seem by end of year the Cards are always in play for the Play-offs. Even though they are not having a great year. they are only 1.5 games behind for last NL Wildcard.
  12. Sean McAdam's Roster 2.0 with over a week to go. Things could change. SP Sale, Pomeranz, Porcello, E-Rod. Out- Fister BP Kimbrel, Reed, Price, Smith, Kelly, Scott. Likely- Workman, Maddox. OUT-Elias, Hembree, Boyer, Abad, Barnes, Velazquez. Catchers- Vasquez, Leon. OUT- Swihart. Infielders- Moreland, Pedroia, Bogaerts, Ramirez, Devers, Nunez, Holt. On the bubble- Marrero, Travis. OUT-Lin. Outfielders- JBJ, Betts, Bennintendi, On the Bubble- Davis, Young.
  13. If Lin provides the most is his Defense. Lot of Posters are thinking Lin is a very good hitter, he has been so-so throughout his Minor League career. Tipping on the suck side. Go to Play-offs with the better Pitching, I just don't see his bat as a huge contributor. Seen him play, not impressed at all with his bat, at least in the Minors. Good Defense, that his forte.
  14. Nunez and Davis for me, I want Vets, plus Right Handed Power for Fenway. Didn't Davis take Pomeranz deep last year in the Play-offs?
  15. Neither does Lin.
  16. Lin is not a threat on bases. About 50% in the Minors. Cant do it in the Minors, I would be nervous in the Majors.
  17. Colorado has let the Brewers right back in it for 2nd WC.
  18. Sox are 30-15 since non-waiver trading deadline.
  19. Guardians are 1 game behind the Dodgers for the best record in Baseball. Month ago nobody thought (including myself), that anybody could catch the Dodgers. Last Month, Dodgers, are playing some of the worst baseball in the Majors.
  20. Last 10 games Yanks 8-2 Sox 7-3 Looking back at this season, these last 10 games might be the biggest of the season. Still work to do, not over yet.
  21. According to Sean McAdam good chance Nunez returns Friday.
  22. This is wild from the 7th inning on this year Sox have Struck out 431 times the Astros have struck out 320 times. They put the ball in play, and when that happens Humans, Field, Bounces, Fielding and throwing, become involved, not just Pitcher and Catcher, for the out.
  23. Agree it starts with getting on base.
  24. Looking further into this if we play the Astros, our Bullpen better be sharp, from the 7th inning on they have the best avg. .280, best OPS .811, 5th in HRS, and #1 in RBI's. Team is dangerous for 9 innings. They also don't walk, 24th in taking walks from the 7th inning on. They swing the bats. Most important #1 team in Majors with Runs scored after 7th inning.
  25. Interesting stat from the 7th inning and later the Sox rank 6th with a .252 avg. and last in HRS in the Majors. If you go by OPS they are 20th. Correction not 21st. 4th in runs scored, is the HR's important or the RBI's? RBI's the Sox are ranked 5th in the Majors after the 7th inning.
