BA against Bauer sky rockets after the 3rd inning. He had a good August and Sept. but this will be a BP game. Swinging at the 1st Pitch against Bauer this year, batters have a .357 avg.

Wonder if Francona is getting too cute on starting Bauer. He doesn't impress me.

AL EAST will be trouble in Play-offs. Somebody is going down either Astros or Guardians....Watch! Maybe both!

Final stats for teams. Starters Houston finished 6th, 4.03 era BAA .243 Boston 8th, 4.06 era, BAA .255 Relievers Houston finished 17th, 4.27 era, BAA .234 Boston 2nd 3.15 era, .226 BAA We got to get to their Relievers, and when we do we got to hit them. Astros Relievers have given up 77 HRS, to our 59. Here's a little stat we should keep an eye out for in a short Series. Houston Pitchers have thrown 86 Wild Pitches, basically 1 every 2 games. Sox Pitchers have thrown 43. More games are determined in the Play-offs, by little things than the HRS.

Sale's game is huge, if your going to use Price in this way. Astros good hitting team, they see Price multiple times, they might catch up to him. Need others in that BP. Sox have to hit. And when RISP more important. I don't see this as a Pitchers dual series. Maybe 1st game, but after that you better have a Offense. For the Month of Sept. the Sox as a team hit .243 Astros hit .271

Sale was a Reliever, maybe 3 days rest might be OK. What we need is a blowout for Game 1. Get him out, on low pitch count.

Would not shock me if Astros Manager, goes to the BP and brings in a Lefty to face Hanley, instead of Righty.

Hanley had 2 problems this year, that he has to improve on, 1) RISP (.209) 2) Lefthanded Pitchers. (.179) A RH Power hitter in Fenway not to hit Left Handed Pitchers is not good. Even on the road.

I'll give Hanley a little break, wait till Post-Season. See how he performs on the big stage like Papi. He was suppose to be his replacement, basically.

Forgot Porcello, and E-Rod. So he did help. Keep thinking that Ben's biggest mistake was not resigning Miller. A lot of Prospects could have been saved by this one signing. And still got E-rod too.

Basically Ben's contributions to this team is Pomeranz, (prospect), Devers (Draft), Benni, (Draft)Holt, (Trade. Bad Trade?) Leon (Trade), and Hanley (FA). About right?

100 win teams have done pretty bad in LDS against 90 win teams in last 30 years. 14-21 and eliminated 11 times.
