  1. WOW! Thanks.
  2. We might have already, but we might 1 of the 5 teams he doesn't want to come too. This was according to Miami writer, I read in work. Might not be Boston either, writer wouldn't say which teams. One thing I'd rather have Stanton than Votto.
  3. So under the new rules, you sign a player with Qualifying Offer, you lose your second highest Draft pick and $500,000 of your allotment in the International Pool money. That's significant. Team like the Sox who are trying to rebuild you better think twice on QO's guys. That's why Martinez is better idea, with Trades, or guys that cant have QO's. Nunez is one that comes to mind, that would help the club now, and wont hurt the future.
  4. Gammons might be a fool but Stanton will have a say where he plays. Gammons not only one that wrote it. That's why players put that in their contract. The right to Veto any Trade. Boston is not in rebuilding mode, so they have that going for them.
  5. What if the Sox didn't Trade Marwin Gonzalez for Marco Duarte.
  6. Other team needs, Moustakas 17 million this year could be used in other areas. Good Left Handed Reliever, Utility Man (2nd baseman), even Starter might be a need, 4th Outfielder. Sox might go with Wright, so that might not be a issue.
  7. Rather have Machado than Moustakas, I'll wait, see how Devers handles 3rd, save the money, and go after a real stud in 1 year. He'll be a beast in Fenway.
  8. Sox have to think Pitching too, E-Rod had another surgery to his knee. Problem now is you cannot move him, which the Sox should have done this Off-Season, as part of a package. His knee problems are habitual, seem they follow him throughout career.
  9. Forgot article said Stanton has 5 teams he will not go to, (wouldn't say), according to Writers Source. Read it at work, so cannot copy it for here, sorry.
  10. Could happen, Crawford's contract finally done, and last year for A-Gonz. Team is really young, their Pay-roll should start dropping big time. Problem is who to send back, they want to keep their Prospects from article I read. San Francisco I think will be in it. Don't know if they have the Prospects though.
  11. Springer always had more Power than JBJ, his biggest thing this season was he cut his Strikeouts down big time. Went from 178 K's in 2016 to 111 K's this year.
  12. Stanton wont be as easy to Trade as Jeter thinks, he has full veto on any Trade, and his preference is West Coast. He was born in California.
  13. Astros GM was assistant for the Cards. Mozeliak. Who would you rather have Springer or JBJ?
  14. Correa will hit over 30+ HRS next year, probably close to 40. That's the biggest difference between the 2 teams. Even DH not that different. Only played 109 games this year. When he came back Astros took off again. Just turned 23.
  15. Go by teams needs on trades, WAR and Fangraphs, mean crap. Team Trade because they have a weakness in one area, and strength in another. If teams used numbers all the time, you never get Trades done. Hire a accountant to be a GM, don't need any baseball background. Cheaper. Christ sakes use your eyes, Benni way more athletic than Schwarber, he can do more in a season that don't show up on stats, that will win you games. Backing up an Outfileder, going from 1st to third, more often. Or are these on stats too.
  16. What a GAME!!!!
  17. Lost it quick. WoW!
  18. Kershaw looks on tonight. All Sox Pitchers should see that Kershaw lead the Majors in 1st Pitch Strikes 69% of the time. Tom Seaver always said most important pitch is the 1st Pitch.
  19. His shoulder had to give him problems, even when I was watching him, first thought was man, his bat really slowed down. Especially against Lefties, he has a career .295 avg. against Lefties, something has to be physical when you drop down to .179 this year against Lefties.
  20. More and more I'm liking Santana, for the price. I don't expect 20+ for him.
  21. Agree, that was my 1st thought too.
  22. You think Jansen has back to back bad outings?
  23. Hard Hittin New Britain, George Springer.
  24. Rosenthal is saying Jerry Hairston Jr, is in play.
  25. Amazing that in Hanley's 5 prime years 25-29 he hit only 99 HRS.
