Sox need to score 50 more runs next season from season past, if Pitching is about the same. That's it. Guys on team can do that. Don't need to spend big cash for that. See how Hanley's surgery works out.

I would much rather sign Nunez then JD. Versatility is the secret, to good FA's.

What if Hanley's shoulder surgery is the difference. You got him next year, at a decent price, and your in the ballpark for say Machado, or Donaldson. Forget JD.

You got to add Hanley, at least you have to think that Hanley wont be playing 1st, much of the time with Moreland. A tough RHP, you have a DH sitting the bench at 22 million, the other at 25 million. Just see if Hanley's surgery worked and stay patient.

Not only that, but you'll be paying so much for the DH role it would be ridiculous. Then if he is signed and you want to move JBJ, every team will know that, and you wont get the return.

Duquette was always a good talent evaluator. The old time kind, probably went to all our Minor League games, and saw in person our best talent. He built a dominating Expo team, by Trading for other teams Prospects, and Drafting. He's no dummy.

When does the contract start? This year? That might be the difference, no? If any doubt that its too much, for you, then trading for him is not smart.

OK say we Trade and get Machado, what's the contract, that guarantees he stays? Otherwise he's walking after one year. Don't get caught up on who we gave up, just the salary. Your best guess.

Any Park is HR park for Stanton. He played in Miami one of the worst, HR hitting Parks. What's his splits compared to RHP?

Paying big bucks for Hanley to DH, see if surgery worked out, and go from there. Forget JD.

Glad DD not doing nothing at this point. Already paying big bucks for a DH. No need there. Have a 1st Baseman, hope the excuses of injuries, and down years by others, are right.

I know Tampa lead the Majors in Foul Outs for Pitchers, even over Oakland. Fenway was last almost every year. Don't like Pitchers who pitch in a Pitchers Park. Then come to a band box like Fenway. 18 HRS in 95 innings in Camden Yard, bet the Orioles aren't beating the door down for him. My bad, only 10 HRS, in 36 innings, in Camden Yards, even worse. Always like looking at Minor Leagues for Players, Archer so-so in the Minors too. 3.77 ERA in parts of 8 seasons in the Minors. Didn't show much domination there also.

O's got to be asking for Devers, they don't want Bogaerts. If DD does that, then I will be really ticked off.
